[kaworu seems happy today -- more so than normal, and a great distance from his melancholy the last time he'd posted to the network.]

What sort of sweets does everyone here like? Or types of cookies? I have a friend who is teaching me how to cook, but I do not have much experience with what others enjoy most...

[he mostly wants yako and mello's answers, but being that specific would ruin the surprise so it's simpler to leave things vague for now.]

[his tone and expression soften and he gives the little mirror a gentle smile, somehow different from the sort he shows everyone else. as much as he loved all his friends here, he hadn't really considered the difference until he could once more see shinji.]

A bit- I am still learning, but a plain cake is not too terribly difficult.

It all strikes me as rather intimidating. Cooking is an art in itself, and one completely different from all other kinds...

[He's doing his best to not look nervous. But he's incredibly, terribly, uncomfortably nervous. He did a lot of thinking after their last conversation--it's been several nights of wandering the outer residential district two thinking about Kaworu and his friend and Yako and how things are.]

[he can pick up on at least a little of that unease, and on shinji's half it made sense, but he can't imagine why takuto would be nervous. he'd never seemed to be particularly anxious around new people before.]

It's not like I'm offended, so don't worry. But I have a bunch of baking recipes lying around since I make treats for the Agency, if you want them.

What about dark chocolate? [it would certainly make his life easier if he could make the same kind for both mello and yako.]

[He is lying through his teeth and it's totally unnatural for him. But on the other hand he just... needs to meet this person to see who he is to Kaworu even though he has the gut-sinking feeling he already knows.

Not that whoever this person is to Kaworu changes anything. Of course. He'll just be pushing through these feelings and carrying on.]
