☆ 003 | TEXT | 2/17 ☆
Ah, I can't help feeling that things are a little quiet around here right, now. I know I should probably feel glad considering the alternative, but I guess I find it all too easy to become bored.
I've heard the news that there may be a serial killer in our midst, but it's hard to feel concern for something when it's at a remove from you, right? It's a big city after all, and it's easy to put your mind to rest and think that such a thing will never happen to you. Only, perhaps the people who were killed used to think exactly the same thing? I wonder.
Anyway! Perhaps it's better to concentrate on something a little less morbid. And since I said I was bored...maybe some of you can tell me what you like to do for fun around here? Is there anything you particularly like about Death City? Or even things you really dislike? Give me some ideas ☆

Ah! Welcome to Death City, then! How are you settling in to the city, so far?
voice
text
What kind of thing are you used to, I wonder? Other than the threat of war and the creepy death theme, this city itself doesn't seem so very different from what I'm used to.
voice
Hmm... I used to live in a farming village. It was very unlike Edo, with the tall buildings and many stores for different things! It's very crowded and loud at times, unlike what it used to be like back home for me.
text
Ah, well. That explains it! Country life must be very different from living in a big city.
[Not enough humans. He wouldn't like it]
voice
[she laughs lightly] Most people would consider it boring, I suppose, but it is not all that bad.
text
I suppose it's all a matter of personal tastes. I'm more accustomed to large cities, myself.
voice
Mm? Where do you come from, if you don't mind me asking?
text
Tokyo, Japan. Do you know it?
[Seeing as so many people here are from different worlds entirely]
voice
I know Japan. I am from Japan, actually: Edo. Someone informed me that Edo got its name changed to Tokyo at some point.
text
Ha ha! Ah, you must come from a fair way in my past then, for Tokyo to still be called by that name. It's something I'll admit I'm still getting used to, the fact that people here are from all different time periods as well as different worlds.
voice
Mhm, yes, I have come to realise the strange phenomena of people being from different worlds and time periods. But I suppose I'm not too surprised. Where I come from, aliens roam the Earth with us, and if someone happens to be wealthy enough they can get on a spaceship and travel to another planet for a vacation.
text
Is that so? Well then, I suppose I'll have to assume the Edo you come from is in a different universe entirely from mine; I've never heard mention of aliens or spaceships from that period myself!
voice
That is probably the best thing to assume. How was yours like?
voice
Hard to explain, I suppose. A lot less exotic than many of the places people here seem to have some from. The vast majority of humans had no special powers to speak of, and intelligent life outside of humanity was a rarity at best. All fairly dull, I guess.
[Which isn't entirely true, not what he really believes, but most of what he says isn't entirely truthful even at the best of times]
voice
You mean there are people here who have special powers? As in those comics boys like to read so much?
text
Based on what I've heard, yes, some people are claiming they had skills like those before arriving here.
voice
Though... it makes sense to feel a bit worthless with people like those here as well.
Uhm, you wouldn't mind me asking your name? Mine is Mitsuba.
text
It's a pleasure to speak with you, Mitsuba-kun. You can call me K-chan.
