Good morning, Death City!

[One very chipper girl waves cheerfully at the mirror set up on the coffee table. She's currently relaxing on the couch, her non-broken leg pulled up against her chest while the broken and encased one dangles over the edge.]

Yesterday, I saw some very cute baby cats in an alley nearby, and I'd like to capture one when they're a little older. But before I can do that, there are some questions I need answered. The capturing mechanics of this world are very... [behind] different from my world?

So! I might not have the technology available to me that I did back home, but every good Coordinator knows how to improvise! I was thinking of using rope - does anybody know how to tie a lasso? Which stores sell rope in Death City? The convenience stores don't, for some reason.

...Although a box trap might do the trick. I saw a store that sold 'cat food' - that would make good bait, right?

Either way though, I'm pretty sure I'll need- [Haruka leans over to the coffee table and grabs what had previously been out of sight of the camera, displaying them once she's seated comfortably again.]

You can't capture a Pokemon without weakening it first, after all. And since I don't have my Pokemon here to battle it with, these will have to do. I'm pretty sure they use rocks in the Safari Zone anyway, so there's obviously something about them that works.

Haha, never did this collecting thing since I was a kid-- but back then it was all baseball cards. Didn't think these keychain things would be pretty fun, too. I heard that you get one of the Boss if ya collect 'em all-- has anyone got him yet?

I'm sure you've all seen the headlines by now. There's a killer on the loose, and he may have claimed up to four victims. Everyone should take precautions until we catch him: Don't travel alone, avoid isolated areas of the city, and stay indoors at night if at all possible.

If anyone has any information you think may be pertinent to the case, please come forward with it, even if you don't think it's important, or you're worried about getting someone in trouble. Even the smallest morsel of information can cause a break in a case like this, and the most important thing right now is finding and putting a stop to the killer before he takes another life. If you know anything, please let myself or any other member of the Watch know.

Finally, since three of the victims were suspects in a criminal case, it's possible that these murders may be an act of vigilante justice. If that is the case, and the perpetrator is listening now, I ask you: please turn yourself in. I understand your feelings, but even criminals are entitled to a fair trial and the rule of law. What you're doing isn't justice. It's murder, plain and simple, and it has to stop.

So, Zone Leaders're supposed to introduce themselves, right? I know it's a few days late, but my partner and I just got promoted.

Toph Bei Fong, Zone Leader of the Entertainment and Red Light District. Nice to meet you.

[Yes, the blind thirteen-year-old girl who finally broke five-feet is the Zone Leader of the Red Light District.]

My partner is Temeraire, the big black dragon you might see around town. He is not a lizard, whatever anyone else might say. He's not a Poké-whatever, or an illusion, or a hallucination either. He's a dragon, and he turns into a six-foot sword. And I can use him. Remember that if you wanna cause problems in that part of town.

I was hesitant about committing to taking part in this war until I had all the facts in front of me, but the recent attacks on civilian targets have certainly dispelled any doubt in my mind. I'm ready to do whatever is needed to shut these Witches down.

I'm told that I'll need a partner, and I must admit that I haven't been looking very hard. Apparently I'm a meister, meaning I'll need a weapon. If there's anyone available and interested, I would appreciate a response.

[Here's Roy again, over at his desk at the DOGS office. He's smiling in the usual way, and does not look particularly tired. There are also piles upon piles of papers, envelopes and folders laid out in front of him.]

Good morning. I hope that things have gotten better for everyone, now that the weather's cleared up. [Among other things.] I'll need to trouble the lot of you with three announcements.

First: Death City's Office for General Security is currently looking for guests who, in their respective worlds, were researchers, scientists, or generally involved in the process of knowledge production. Anyone who's interested can contact me now. I'll answer any questions you might have.

Second: the Watch has suffered from a few losses, BREW-related and otherwise. Any able-bodied guest with fighting experience who's looking to do something for this city and the other guests is welcome to apply.

[And now there's a bit of a pause. When he does speak again, though, his tone remains carefully neutral.]

...Third. Given how things went down here, I don't think a lot of you are aware of this, but Ryotaro Dojima, my former Weapon, was killed during one of the recent attacks on the city. He has been buried already, but Jules and I will be at the cemetery on the 10th just to say goodbye properly. Anyone who knew Dojima is welcome to drop by and pay their respects.

Finished reading through all of the reports. Does anyone else have anything for me? On another note, we'll need to be prepared, I think, for another influx of new arrivals soon. I checked the dates. Still picking a good day, as well, for all of us to meet. There's much that we all need to discuss.

[ It has been some time since Yachiru's made a broadcast.

Things have been strange and scary and Yachiru hasn't liked it one bit. Especially because she couldn't really fight, and didn't have anyone who she could call a partner. And Ken-chan hasn't arrived yet, even though she's been waiting for so long. Then Byakushi got sick from drinking the water like everyone else, and there were frightening things on the network every day, and everywhere she looked, people were going crazy.

It was like being in Kusajishi again.

Is like.

And now Tsururin is missing.

Yachiru's been waiting for a long time, but he never came home.

She's hungry and there's no food anymore, and the milk's gone bad and makes her tummy hurt when she tries to drink it. She doesn't know what else to do because it's not like she can just search for him by following his reiatsu.

But somehow she has a feeling he's not coming back.

So she is quiet when she turns on her communicator. She's looking a little pale, and there's some stuff in her hair, and she's clutching a drawing in her hand. The apartment is a bit dark. ]

I don't think Tsururin's coming back.

[ Said after a moment, very quietly, and for a moment it almost looks like she's about to cry, but she doesn't. And then she kind of just looks down at the drawing before she shows it to the camera. ]

But... But if anyone sees him, tell him I'll be real good and I won't make him mad anymore if he comes back, kay?

[ And then the feed ends. ]

[The first thing you'll see, when the feed comes on, is one gloved hand adjusting the screen a bit - there's the sound of rain in the background. Then it's withdrawing, showing a hooded figure leaning against a wall close to Shibusen Academy, staring down at the screen.]

It seems like I've missed quite a lot around here...

Yep. Guess who's back, Death City? And looking a lot tired, and a little concerned. Roy Mustang's smiling, though. That's a good thing, right?]

Hello again, everyone. Sorry I took so long, coming back. Members of the Watch, please check in with me immediately. As for the rest... well, I'd appreciate it if someone could fill me in.

Those ghastly attacks from the Witches from before - though that's nothing new, however it is still both very sad and very irritating. That, and with those people that have been taken...

[His tail stops, as he looks back at the Camera.]

It only makes me glad that I am going. I know not what I am to expect, exactly, except that I know that I will attempt to do my best to help my meister whilst we do battle. However, I shall most certainly not forget that our main objective is to bring people back home where they belong.

[Odd, when did Death City become "home" instead of, well...]

So for everyone that is going, pray do take care, and bring back our fellows back from the clutches of those witches.

As for those that are new arrivals -- I would think it depends on whether or not you have a partner, if you have the battle experience, and if you are confident in your abilities to participate in such an undertaking. However if you are, Godspeed.

[ Seriously, there's gotta be a weapons shop around here somewhere, right? His own weapon form is way too awkward for regular use and someone took away his sword. He feels naked without his sword.

Okay, I need everyone's help.

I'm looking for a Weapon. Not for me! I already am a Weapon and already got a partner. But for my little sister! She's been wanting to go on missions and stuff, but these things are pretty damn dangerous and I can't go with her every time.

[He pauses, cupping his chin]

Well I guess I could, but it might stop the evolution of her manliness [Masaru, she's a girl... though awww that's some character growth for you! Good boy!]

SO! Instead I'm just gonna find her a Weapon that would be just as good at protecting her as me! [He reaches off screen, then comes back with a photo, holding it up to the screen. It shows him and a girl at the Triple A. She's about his height if not a little taller, though how her face and limbs are formed and her posture at least suggest she's older then him. You did say little sister right? But their resemblance is unmistakable]

She's a pretty decent fighter, and really tough. We've already resonated a few times so she's got that down....

[He pauses, looking almost sad]

I just... need to make sure she's with someone I can trust. I can't stop her from rushing out all headstrong like I do, but if she gets hurt...

A-anyways, if anyone's looking for a partner let me know. I gotta ask you some questions first!

[Welp. No time to really react to the losses he's taken on the organizational and personal end. Lovely day we're having, eh?

I'm mobilizing the entirety of the Watch around the city. Please avoid any structures that have taken damage during the earthquake, just to be on the safe side. Contact me immediately if you need help, or if you think your friends are in trouble.

Zone Leaders, take charge of your districts. I want all able patrolmen on the field and in their respective districts, ready to offer assistance to whoever needs it. Keep lines of communication clear and open between yourselves. Use your own judgment, keep your eyes open and your ears to the ground.

Scifo, Hawkeye: hold the fort. Kerrigan, Tassadar, Selendis, Temeraire, Genesis, Konoha ninja: can you give me a view from above on how things are in the city? Lady: to me.
