[There is a hint of nervousness about Obito as he peers through the mirror at the rest of the network. It could be nervousness from having only talked on the network a few times before now, or it could stem from the fact that he's about to offer someone a gift... or maybe from something else entirely. Either way, Nervous Obito is Nervous.

He's sitting alone in his room on his bed. There doesn't seem to be any indication that anyone else is currently in the house.]

Hey, Wato-san? I know it's been kind of crazy, what with the earthquake on top of missions and things, but I never did stop by to properly thank you for all you did for me when I first got here so... Um, would you mind if I stopped by later to see you? I have something to give you and it isn't much, but I want you to have it.

[He gives a little awkward bow, then cuts the feed...]

[...only to start up a new video immediately, this one private and locked to his cousin. He seems even more furtive now than before. He is distinctly trying to keep his voice down.]

Itachi-kun, since I'm probably gonna be out later did you want to meet up to grab some ramen? If that doesn't work, would you wanna try to go tomorrow? I'm pretty much free at anytime so...

Um....

Yeah, just get back to me on that. We really should talk.

...Bye. [And once again, he cuts the feed.]

[ it had been several days since their last conversation, and Itachi had managed to avoid his cousin entirely. while seeing this pop up on his communicator didn't make him very happy, he had already resigned himself to the fact that Obito would want to meet up at some point.

[Luckily for them both, Obito was still very much in the dark about the truth. He hadn't done much in the way of seeing Itachi either, but with Gai or Kakashi with him at any time it was hard to get away. Despite Gai's warnings, Obito was determined to meet up with him again.]

Okay, then I'll try to wrap things up early if you can still meet today. Is that fine? I don't want to conflict with anything else you might have going on...

I am going on a mission today. Tomorrow is okay.

Tomorrow? I can do that! We'll have lunch then! [As he had spoken his voice had slowly grown louder. That last exclamation seemed to catch his attention, though, so he quieted again.

When he started speaking after the pause he was back to speaking softly.]

I'll meet you at the ramen place, then?

That is fine. I will meet you at noon.

[ and he clicks the communicator off. ]

[curious little smile] I'd be delighted to see you again, of course. And thank you.

[Obito is completely calm when Watson checks in with him so whatever was distressing him before seems to have been taken care of. He smiles a little at the doctor.]

Great! I'll try to not get in your way. Would it be okay if I headed over now?

[Thoughtful look at the boy.] It's perfectly all right, of course. Will you be staying long? I have some food here, if you are interested in a meal.

[Obito is genuinely surprised by the offer, but his surprise quickly turns into a grin.]

I can stay for as long as you'll have me. I'd love to eat with you, if you really don't mind having some company.
