the sound of gunshots rang through the network followed by the death throes of the unfortunate targets. it was only then that the face of Death City's young current acting Shinigami appear. despite the high tense situation, he manages to stay calm—or so he appears. like everyone else, he has the black blood to deal with, and it's actually taking a lot more effort than he anticipated.]

As you're all probably aware, Death City is currently under attack. An army of—[he really can't believe he's saying this.]—zombies have approached the city. Just take them down in whatever means necessary. This isn't some horror movie—this is real.

In addition, tive witches have appeared and they've brought along their familiars. The spiders are not ordinary spiders—their bites are poisonous so if you must engage in close range fighting, stay away from their fangs. They will also try and trap their victims with their webs. The ants spit acid so be wary of their projectile attacks.

Large ravens have also appeared. Stay out of the open. These ravens are large enough to pick up an adult man, so it is highly advised you stay under some kind of cover. If possible, those with long range attacks should try and focus to shoot them down while those with close range weapons focus on the spiders and ants.

[takes a breath before practically glaring into the screen.]

And finally, do not engage the witches by yourself. Fight only enough to get away, but taking on a witch on your own is suicide.

[now there's a glint in his eye, a sign of the Madness that still coursed through his immortal body. there's a glimpse of spider, but it's soon blown away as more shots are fired. with the barrier no longer surrounding the city, all his concentration and powers are now focused on one thing: elimination.]

I'll purge them myself if I have to.

I thought your spider witch is gone?

[His voice sounds strangled, close to the breaking point. He's read about Arachne and had thought that he'd be spared from having to deal with possibly encountering her since she's been eliminated already, but this... This is ridiculous.]

She is but that doesn't mean other witches can't also control them.

[There's a choked yell, something clicking--giant insect mandibles, maybe--wet thwacks, another male voice telling him to calm down--

However strong her urge to coddle her students is, they've long since gone past that, and she has no choice but to treat them as valued colleagues she must fight alongside with if Shibusen is to overcome this latest hurdle.]

Tenten. Konoha's weapon master reporting here. I can fire ranged bows and arrows, swords, staffs, war fans - you name it, I wield it. Is there any place you specifically need me? [ She's willing to take direction from this man. He knows what he's talking about. ]

Because of your versatility, it may be better if you can sweep through the streets. Taking a few high vantage points to do aerial cover would also be of great assistance.
