video; february 4th, morning.

I do believe that it is safe to greet the residents of this fair city, now. Though I am certainly no stranger to fighting, I was caught off-guard. It is not every day that one is swept from their homes into another world in this manner, though I am not unfamiliar with that, either.

[There is a quiet laugh; embarrassed. Midway through, it begins to sound less formal, almost casual in its own way.] I will keep the chit-chat to a minimum, however, as I am certain you all must find it rather dull. I am Riddel Viper, from a place called El Nido. If there are any present from my world or one of similar standing, I would be grateful if you were to contact me -- and, to anyone else, greetings and salutations! It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

[She lets it linger for a moment before turning it off. She really just wanted to introduce herself properly and let everyone know she hadn't been swept away early on in that battle.]

Actually, the chit-chat sounds most interesting. You say this isn't the first time you've been taken from your home world -- El Nido, was it?

[his curiosity's tempered by not a little sympathy.] I'm afraid I've neither heard of the place, nor spoken to anyone from there... But perhaps they're still just recovering from the last few days. They may turn up.

[a gracious smile.] No thanks are needed. These are hard times for everyone, and they would be even without having to adjust to a new world.

In any case, my name is Qilby -- it's a pleasure to meet you, Riddel. And might I say: travel to other completely new worlds is nothing new to me or several others here, but I've never heard of someone who's been to another version of their home world. [wow man, he sounds marvelled at the very thought.] That sounds... Positively fascinating.

[he thinks on that a moment.]

I think I'd prefer seeing completely new worlds rather than alternate versions of the same one -- no matter how many versions there are, it's still the same planet. I imagine it'd get a little tedious after the hundredth iteration or so... [he laughs!]

But in any case you didn't make your journey on purpose, if i'm inferring correctly? How does one unexpectedly find themselves in another world like their own?
