[ Duo seems to be walking around outside, sporting a tank top and a few visible scars on his arms. But it's nothing too terrible, really, and the teen behind his sunglasses is grinning away as he wanders around the city, so anyone watching might want to just prepare for a whole lot of blabbering on. ]
First I guess I oughtah say again that I'm Duo - just in case I haven't met anyone yet. And I found out my weapon form! [ Someone's very excited about this revelation, okay? ] I'm a beam scythe, which is a weapon I er... used back home. So if anyone wants to try that resonation thing I'm completely open to it. Just send me a text or something, huh? I promise I don't draw blood when I bite and all of that good stuff, and if you need to find me in person just find the kid with the really long braid.
I don't like sittin' on the sidelines when I've done this war thing before - specially since I heard innocent people have been dying. That doesn't really sit well with me.
I guess a lot of people are off in Norway fighting - but it doesn't leave a whole lot for us schmucks left behind to do, as far as I can tell. Either way, now that I've got a better grip on how this place works, I figured I oughtah come on here and talk to you guys again before I get bored and do things that I probably shouldn't. The nice air conditioned apartments are nice and all, but... this place is pretty sweltering for February and I'm enjoying it. I guess everywhere would be when you're used to space instead of Earth, eh? I've never seen a desert before, so this is.. pretty cool. Other than sunburn. This is a whole different type of sunburn here, since before it just meant sweating up your space suit!
I kinda wonder if anyone here has ever seen space - like seen the nebulae and star dust and light that's out there. It isn't just dead cold space and asteroids once you get out past Mars and the other planets. Does anyone know where I could maybe get my hands on a telescope, on that note? I'd bet I can find a place in this place that's dark enough to get some star gazing in, whether everyone thinks I'm crazy or not -
[ Passing by a small grassy area, presumably for recreational purposes, he perks up again, lifting his glasses on to his forehead and pulling his braid over his shoulder. ] Oh! That reminds me!
Does anyone here play basketball or baseball? I'm bored as hell and I thought that instead of getting into debatably illegal things I could just organize a game for fun or something. Probably in the evenings cause I don't wanna he playing medic as well if anyone passes out.

[clearly this isn't someone who thinks duo's crazy. on the contrary, he seems rather enthused that someone's finally mentioned space, even offhandedly.] And to address your curiosity: I've seen space. Much of it, in fact, but all I've experienced is but a drop in a stream, feeding into the ocean of universes I've yet to begin to fathom. Your space isn't mine. [le smile!] But from the sound of it, its beauty from universe to universe remains undiminished.

Hey! Do you have anything planned for today? Because if you don't, do you want to meet up for burgers in half an hour?
[She'd rather talk with him in person, so why use the planned burger meetup as an in?]

[There is a long pause before he laughs and manages to almost, passibly, sound sheepish.]
Sorry, that just reminded me of someone I used to know. It's a difficult weapon to use though, the scythe.

Um, I'd love to look at the stars too! I did that a lot back home when I couldn't sleep. [Literally could not sleep. Going through the Angel transformation is fun like that.]
