soul_campaign | 001 - Text/Voice/Video (March 3rd)

This is how written message gets sent out to everyone.

[The message may have seemingly came out of nowhere, but it at least had a purpose. It's not much longer later before a young woman's voice can be heard over the network.]

When you press this button, you will broadcast an audio only message, like what I'm doing right now.

You sure we can't just stick to video? I'd rather see who I'm talking to.

Of course we can!

[And within seconds, a pair can be seen on the feed. A girl with pink hair who is waving at her device, and a young man with long dark hair.]

Good day everyone! [She bows her head to the screen, then rises back up.] My name is Estellise. My apologies for the messages showing up like this over the public network. I was simply teaching my friend here how to use the device.

[She turns to him, whispering-] Yuri, you say hello, too!

I don't want to.

[Estelle turns to him, slightly scolding, but still kind.]

Yuri! Please say he--

[Accidentally knocking the device over with her hand as she points to it, the feed ends.]

[ It took a moment for Sophie to regain her composure after seeing Estellise on the video feed. She was pretty much gasping in awe! She knows that girl. Sort of. The pink-haired girl looked just like the doll that she made for Lara and her name sounded very close to Estelle. Lara told her a little bit about that doll. Hmm... ]

[ Finally, she switches on her video feed to respond: ]

Hi, Yuri. And... Estellise. I'm Sophie. [ She bows her head, mimicking what Estelle did earlier on the feed. ] It's nice to meet the both of you.

Oh, hello Sophie! It's a pleasure to meet you as well! [She smiles at the other girl bowing her head to the screen. Estelle is one who can respect and appreciate the manners in others.]

Estellise? I was wondering... are you the same as Estelle?

[Estelle can't help but blink and cock her head to the side for a bit in confusion. Do they... know each other?]

Yes, my friends call me Estelle. Have we met before?

[ She lets out a small gasp and says in a loud whisper to herself: ] I knew it...

Oh no, we haven't. [ A head shake. She has no clue this maysound so strange. ] But I made a doll that looks just like you. Lara told me that your name's Estelle!

[She points to herself as she responds, excitedly.] There's a doll of me? I can't say I have ever seen such a thing!

[Which makes her wonder...]

Oh, are you from Terca Lumireis, too?

Terca... Lumireis? [ A pause, like she's trying to recall if there's a place with that name on Ephinea. ] Hmm. No. My home is on a world called Ephinea.

[Well... that's confusing... how is there a doll that looks like her in another world that uses her nickname Yuri gave her?]

How did you find this doll that resembled me, if I may ask?

From a shop. I learned from the shopkeeper I could make one that looks just like you.

Oh, and Lara told me a little bit about you! I heard that you went sneaking out and traveled the world! [ And that's really about all she knows though. And something about Blast--... something. Even Lara couldn't remember that. ]

Sneaking out...? I... suppose it did happen like that. After all, getting out of the castle wasn't that easy. I required assistance.

[Well, it really was something like that, huh? Whoever this Lara was seemed to know a bit of her backstory, to she can't recall meeting a girl by that name.]

...Estelle? Why did you have to sneak out? Lara mentioned that you're a princess. Were you in danger?

Hm. Same, Sophie. You don't have to be so polite though. [ He said with a small hand wave. Jeez, more people who bowed when they greeted others. ]

...oh? [ She hadn't realized she was being polite. The bowing was mostly because... Estelle did it. ] How do you want me to greet you then?

...

[ He paused, almost as if in thought

Before raising his hand up in a fist, except with his pinkie out forward, and his thumb out back. ]

Yo yo yo.

...

[ Staring. Then she nods. Understood.

Raises her hand in a fist, pinkie out forward and thumb out in the back, just like Yuri just showed her. ]

Yo yo yo.

[ ...head tilt. ]

Like that?

[ ...Wow, she actually listened to him. After that he just looks kind of surprised. ]

[ But then he just smiles, almost as if he's trying to hold back a laugh. ]

Yeah, just like that. [ Well, that just made his day. ]

How long have you been here, Sophie?

[ Laugh and she'll just be confused. She smiles too, proud that she got it right. Now she will greet Yuri like that every time. ]

Hmm... I've been here for about a month.

Hm. Not that long, huh? We just got here the other day.

This is gonna take a while to get used to, huh?

Yeah. It took me a while too. [ And there's still a lot for her to learn. ] Are the two of you doing okay, so far?

I guess. It's weird...I mean, being dragged into a war like this. can't really back out though. If they need our help.

What about you? Doing okay? You look kinda young for all this.

[ Young? She doesn't correct him. She's ancient, but she's still learning... and thinking like a child. ] I'm doing okay now, even if I was a little sad when I first came here. There are some problems I need to deal with back home... but, I want to help the people here too.

Hm. That's how I am too. But I don't think I'd be happy with myself if I left this place the way it was.

[ Seemed like he kept running into people like that. ]

Let's both do our best, then. Let's beat the witches senseless!
