Good morning, everyone. Now that it seems that BREW has stopped bringing in more people—[a bit of a dry tone there.]—we can continue with the schedule Madness exposure outing. It will be supervised and it will only be to a low level area, so everyone will be safe no matter what happens. Those who participated in the lecture as well as anyone who wishes to better understand how Madness affects them are encouraged to go. Meet at the front steps of the school at 1 o'clock to be taken to the area.
For those who recently arrived, I highly suggest that you refrain from participating and focus more on adjusting to living here. As I mentioned before upon your arrival, we are currently in the middle of a high scale operation, of which I am now about to disclose.
[and now it's serious time.]
The second Madness Emitter is located near Lake Tahoe, which sits on the border between California and Nevada, the state that we are currently in. It is in an abaonded ski resort high up on the summit of Heavenly Mountain. This Emitter is stronger than the first one you encountered and is producing a greater amount of Madness. As we have no need to salvage the other two Emitters, this and the following mission will be about destroying them completely. Due to the objective and nature of this mission, it is classified as a 3-star ranked mission.
However, this is a large scale mission and a wide area. To be the most effective, we will operate just like we did in the first mission. Some areas are less dangerous than others, and to allow the more advanced teams to go through unhindered to the Emitter, we will allow those of lower rank to participate. If you fall into this category, you will be restricted to the lower areas and will be focusing on eliminating animals that have been infected with Madness as well as any lower leved kishin eggs that are there. Those without partners can also participate to help cull the Madness infected animals and will be provided weapons to fight with.
[his voice hardens.]
But you will be forbidden to go past those areas. Not only will you be unable to handle the higher levels of Madness, but there's another reason why this mission is considered more dangerous.
There have been reports of witch activity around the Emitter, and as such I will also be going along to help dispatch the witch. The main objective of this mission is to destroy the Emitter, and that is what I want most of the teams to focus on. I do not want any reckless teams trying to take her down on their own.
This mission is set for March 27th. As usual, it will be posted on the mission board and I will review all who take it. We will provide the necessary supplies and equipment you will need, but I also advise anyone participating to bring your own clothing and rations. This is not going to be an easy mission and the environmental conditions will make it worse.
[he takes a breath. it was a lot, but it was necessary.]
Now. To those who recently arrived, all of this must seem very confusing and for that I apologize. I highly discourage those who have had no mission or combat experience from joining this mission. The risks are much higher than the last.
But if anyone has any questions—be it about the mission, the upcoming training session, or to any of the new arrivals—you may ask them now.
