[Yesterday's cloudy conditions will persist, making the gigantic floating island of the Nocturne Bazaar--which has parked itself a mile outside Death City by now--look like something out of a fairy tale, silhouetted and wreathed by low-lying clouds. The gondolas which will bring visitors to and from the island are up and running, but the carnival won't be open to guests until tomorrow, and for now it's all merchants, gypsies, city administrators, performers, basically anyone involved in the upkeep of the island using the gondolas. Excitement in the city proper is understandably high, people are going about with good cheer and great anticipation for the weekend. Plans for events and sign-ups for the much-awaited pageant are underway.
Activity at Shibusen is no less frenetic, but the energy here is different, more tense, more high-strung. Whispers among the students loitering in the hallways talk of a crack force of technicians getting sent out to the far north of the continent--it sounds like trackers have finally managed to pin the third emitter down. They still need to confirm the location and scout the place before bringing more combatants in, however. In the meantime, officials seem to have given up trying to remind everyone to stay on their guard in case the order for deployment gets handed down. It's not everyday the Bazaar is here, after all.
Temperatures for today will be 68/45F (20/7C).]
