Unfortunately, I take "fate" as a challenge. [He laughs - not the mad scientist laugh, but something a bit more natural.] I have successfully changed the future twice - once to save my dear friend Mayuri from death, and the other to save the world from the inevitability of World War III.
The experience wasn't one to be laughed at, though. I would never go back to that, not if I didn't have to. There were too many people whose lives I had to see end, too many people's dreams I had to see crushed... I can say with confidence I'm not the same man I was before all that happened.
Let it be known, though, that I am not one to give up. Even if it means going insane.
