[ when the video feed starts, you can see Saya near the stove; inside, there is a cake, so yes, she is baking. While the cake cooks, she seems to be making cupcakes, too.

And right now, she is also addressing to the network.

It has been a while since I last posted to the network...

Anyway! [ she shrugs ] I suppose I should start by asking how is everyone after the most recent attack, which we totally didn't see coming. [ she does sound bitter. They are in the middle of a war and stop everything for a Carnival and some Beauty Pageant? It's like asking to be attacked. ]

Now, what I really meant to ask is if anyone would like to learn how to cook. [ she stops doing her cupcakes and washes her hands, turning to the communicator ] Obviously I would like to be paid for it, but we can discuss the price, rather than having a fixed fee. [ and friends probably won't have to pay, she'll teach them for free ] If you don't want to learn, but would like to have someone cooking for you, I can also do it. I mean, I already do the breakfast for the morning training.

Oh, and yes, I also bake. Obviously. [ she pulls her glasses up, before turning off the feed ]

[Hm... With Lain gone, Neji and Hanabi have mostly survived on takeout and poor attempts at cooking. He's certain he won't like anything anyone else makes half as much as he enjoyed Lain's cooking, but enduring Hanabi's faces every time he made something was starting to bother]

What types of food are you proficient with?

Oriental food, mostly, but I have been trying western food and so far so good. [ her partner only speaks great things of it ]

My cousin and I aren't terribly particular, but we're most accustomed to the Eastern countries' diet.

Unfortunately, I've little time to invest in learning to cook proficiently, but if you wouldn't mind coming over to cook something once a day or so, I'd certainly be willing to hire you. As a Zone Lead, I'm rarely home, but Hanabi-san needs to eat regularly..

That would be fine. I've spoken to Hanabi-san, before, so maybe she remembers me.

Like I said, we can discuss the payment, but it must be enough for me to buy the ingredients, at least.

Of course. I'll keep the kitchen stocked, unless you'd prefer to do our shopping as well.

[Amusement indicates he's not actually serious about sending her shopping for them] As I mentioned, we're not too particular. All I ask is that the level of spices be kept reasonable.

Aha, I'd probably charge a lot more. [she is joking. mostly] If you keep your kitchen stocked up, it makes it easier.

Understood. When would you like me to start?

Tomorrow perhaps, if you're free. I'll use today to stock up on everything.. Hanabi-san's Watch shift starts at six in the evening, so anytime before then is fine.

She may; you're free to ask. I don't believe I have any reliable time to set aside for regular lessons, however.

Aha, when you are living like this, learning how to cook is an important skill. Either way, I will try to teach her how to do it herself, if she wants to.
