In light of the recent attack, the Watch is of course, still providing assistance to those in need of it. We have a few members in most parts of the city, so don't hesitate to contact us.

And for those that may have arrived somewhat recently, I'm Hyuuga Neji, current commander of the Watch, an organization dedicated to the defense and security of the city. Please be alert and feel free to contact me with any questions. Thank you.

First, allow me to apologize for the lack of coordination during the assault. I was regrettably indisposed. However, the districts appear to have been handled as well as anyone could hope, and I've heard of no casualties so far, so I appreciate everyone's diligence even so.

On another note, the shift changes I proposed previously likely will not be going into effect. It's unfortunate, but it's become apparent that between the disappearances and unsuccessful recruitment attempts, that we can't secure the city nearly as well as we need to be able to, even on a minimal scale. As a result, Shibusen agents and the local police will likely be taking over patrol duties in the near future.

Of course, this does not mean we will not aid them, or leave the city defenseless. We will still certainly assist with civilian evacuations and escorts during emergencies, and lend our aid to the police and Shibusen agents when needed.

This means we will not be disbanding- rather likely reforming with a different direction. Shibusen is interested in making us into a specialized backup unit of sorts. This war is fought worldwide, and their agents are spread thin, so we would begin to take assignments outside the city to help where we're needed on a more global scale.

These missions would likely be more focused on a support aspect- with low risk of kishin eggs, but tasks still vital to the country or city we find ourselves in, such as providing extra security in the aftermath of a recent attack or information gathering.

I don't have many more details yet, but any valuable input or opinions are welcome, as I will be sure to discuss some of the finer points with Shibusen at our next meeting and keep everyone informed.

In the meantime, I do need Zone Leaders to take on official shifts in order to maintain at least some visibility in the city, so please respond with your preferred shift. The roster has been updated to reflect which shifts are currently left open.

I will of course, be taking up a shift again as well- likely in the first Outer Residential District, as it's the most populated.

That is all for now, and I apologize for being unable to maintain the organization at the capacity it enjoyed before. I thank everyone for their unending support and hard work even up to this point. I truly appreciate it, and hope we'll work more successfully with Shibusen in the future.

[ there is so much that can be said in just a name, and Sasuke feels his gaze narrow just slightly. Sasuke. they'd never been on a given name basis- though Sasuke had felt, at times, that perhaps they could have been, eventually.

[And of course, as Neji's partner, Lee is going to be listening in on all the public calls coming in. And hearing a voice like that, confirmed by Neji as well, Lee can't help but chime in.]

Sasuke-kun!

[He sounds excited! And he is! But also a little worried. What does this mean?]

You're here, too, then.

[ because Sasuke spent the day yesterday realizing that it was no longer February, that the faces he had known were all gone— save those who woke in the chamber along side him. ]

[ Sakura overhears what Sasuke says, and no sooner does Neji's name leave Sasuke's mouth is she already reaching for the communicator. Turning on the video, Sakura's already smiling. ]

[Neji blinks surprise, because wow, what? Both of them?]

Sakura. How nice to see you again.

Likewise! [ A beat. ] I'm sorry we didn't say anything sooner, I think that we've all just been taking time readjusting to being back.

[And again, Lee can hardly believe it until he hears Neji's own response. What are the chances? BREW must be feeling particularly generous/terrible today.]

Sakura-san! [Have a big Lee grin all over the communicator screen.] How wonderful to see you! We have missed your presence greatly!

[ She brightens considerably at seeing another familiar face. ]

Lee! It has been a while, hasn't it? [ Well- For her it's been mere moments, but from what she's seen of the date stamps on things, she has clearly been gone for quite some time. ]

[Dude, the public broadcast was like. four sentences. stop having add Naruto]

Naruto..! I should have known you arrived with Sasuke and Sakura. As for the attack, it was an unusual invasion and took place roughly two weeks ago. Everyone's been tended to, we're just focused on the remaining recovery efforts.

[He shoulda know that this guy would show up, and Lee is very happy to see him! Yes indeed! Or hear form him, at least.]

[Which is partly why he feels recruiting is falling flat. Mustang always had a.. better public appeal. But that they just aren't getting the reinforcements they need is largely impacted as well]

And it certainly feels that way. However, fortunately, we're getting three new shinobi recruits. You remember Sasuke and Naruto, don't you? They were deputies for a time.

As you know, my partner's not in the Watch. Am I right in thinking these missions wouldn't require a Meister-Weapon pair?

[He's sure he can recruit Near for some, but the Agency and surveillance system have his Weapon's plate quite full.]

Yes, that's correct. While it would likely be wise to send more than one individual, they shouldn't need to be partnered for most assignments.

As for your shift.. you're already on first for your zone. Are you certain you want to take a second?

Of course. The Watch primarily patrols the city's districts, and protects both the guest and civilian populations. We're usually the first to respond to emergencies, and we support the city in whatever fashion necessary during such times.

Out of curiosity, are you guys taking any recruits?

Yes, we're certainly looking for recruits. Patrol positions require some combat experience, but we're also looking for someone well acquainted with more clerical duties if that's not your interest. And of course, we can always use more medics.
