[Misa turns on the communicator and wastes no time before giving a bright smile, waving cheerfully.]

Hello everyone! I’m Amane Misa, it’s nice to meet everyone here. Or at least, it will be when I do.

[After thinking a moment and tapping her chin, she turns back to the communicator.]

I don’t really know how to fight at all... but back in our world, I’m an actress so if anyone needs an entertainer, think of me! And I’m only talking about classy stuff, okay? I’m a top-idol in Japan, after all!

And I’d like to help Shibusen. They’ve been helpful since bringing us here, so whatever I can do to help, I will! They reunited me with my fiancé, Light, after all so I’m very grateful! [Whoops, was she supposed to not mention Light?]

I look forward to getting to know you all! [She gives another small wave before turning off the communicator.]

[ He knew she'd screw it up. But he would have liked to hope age would have -- he didn't know -- matured her. ]

[ No. She never does. There's a long suffering sigh. ]

Nevermind that. The damage is already done. I have enemies here, Misa. Fourteen of them. Remember that when you speak to these people.

I know... but Light, people have known we're together from the start and it's always turned out okay! Besides, if these people are the ones from my time, they already know about us, so what's the point of hiding it?

[She sulks a bit, not liking that it feels like starting all over with Light, working all that way back up.]

[ He's not her fiance here, for one! But he bites his tongue. ]

They aren't only from home. L has been here for quite some time before I arrived. He had plenty of time to establish himself.

I still don't see why we have to try and hide it! Especially if we're going to be partners.

[ Because right now, Light has no intentions of going back into that trainwreck of a partnership he'd called off only days before Misa arrived. ]

But wait... he said that you were already partners, and I had to join the two of you if I wanted you as my partner.

[Damnit, you stupid confusing geniuses!]

What should I say to him then??

[ He thought for a moment because it had to sound like it would come from Misa, even if L would see right through it. ]

Tell him partnership is like marriage and it's something you would only want to share with me alone, that he has no right to interfere in our relationship.

That is how I feel about it, so no problem! I've got this, Light, don't worry!

I hope so.

[ There's an unspoken: don't mess THIS up. ]

I'm going to go public now with our feed. Pretend as though we haven't been speaking this entire time.

[ After all, a fiance "supposed or not" would surely address his wife-to-be and not ignore her. ]

Alright, got it. [Absolutely no problems with going public now, especially because she knows he'll be more affectionate in front of everyone else.]

Has anyone mentioned morning training to you yet, Misa? I know it was covered on the tour, but it really is helpful in learning about techniques and abilities in this world.

I heard about it, yeah! I definitely want to check it out to see what kind of abilities I might have. You've been going since you've been here, haven't you, Light?

Yes, I have. There is even a section devoted to meister abilities, so I would recommend spending your time there.

We can work on our resonation as well. Perhaps together, we can unlock my weapon abilities.

[ Because he knows Misa wouldn't be afraid to write someone's name down on a sheet of paper to see if they died. ]

I'm sure we can! I'll make sure to try really hard, okay? [god help her, she will try so hard she'll probably hurt herself.]
