[well, it has been a while since he used the network like this, almost a month now, but he hasn't been feeling very social lately. it's either that he's just had very few people he'd been interested enough to bother with, or he was just enjoying the rare opportunity to be antisocial -- it wasn't really an option back home, not with his position.

but he's been lazing around for long enough that he feels like he's stagnating, and maybe he feels a bit guilty about just depending on yuuri so much, so. might as well just suck it up and do as his friend had suggested. not gonna bother with any introductions for the moment though, he's a bit tired of playing perfectly polite, and from what he's seen on the network no one really cares anyway.]

I don't suppose anyone knows what sort of jobs are available here? This place is...very different from the one I came from, and I can't really imagine what sort of work is needed. Or what I would be able to assist with, even. It's not as if I've never worked before, but my area of experience is...well, I don't know that it's of much use here.

And thank you in advance, for any help anyone is able to give.

I was told that, thank you. I'm not really sure what I should be looking for here, however. It's not as if I ever needed to do something like this back home...

[more noble than most, even.]

I suppose you could call it a leadership position. Not one, I think, that there is much parallel to in this place.

What kind of leadership position? [From his bearing and attitude, she has a pretty good idea, but she doesn't always trust her guesses. Besides, sometimes her mouth got her in trouble.

Let's see... The king of my world had to give speeches. Have you considered something along those lines? Using your voice?

[Even as she suggests that, she wonders if the Watch could use him...]

Why would anyone need my voice? Those in charge here do those things for a reason -- because they are in charge, and people expect guidance and order from them. Even if they gave that responsibility to someone else, why would anyone listen to what would essentially just be a figurehead? I have no such responsibilities here.

[Why does she even bother helping nobles?]

I didn't mean it that way. I meant in recordings and such. [Sighs as she thinks.]

Do you have any hobbies? They may help.

Recordings of what? [what is technology.] Forgive me, perhaps that sounder harsher than I'd intended, but I've no idea how you meant that...

Oh. That's okay. [She's going to try to explain a different for of technology... This should be good.]

You know how the communicators are carrying our pictures right now? Or sometimes just our voices? Well, there's a way to make them permanent and it's called a "recording". [Scratches her head.]

There's a lot of them on the television. [The last word's said slowly as she remembers what it's called.]

Oh. Those aren't..."live", you would call it? I thought they were like plays...

I ran into someone a week or so ago who talked about recording something called a TV drama. That's gotta be what those are.

[She hasn't had a chance to really look at the thing, but she can see where the idea they were plays comes from.]

But they're not being shown as they're performed? Do they do it all beforehand, then?

[She shakes her head.]

Look, I'll show you. [She's learned how to record a message on the communicator and begins recording what she's saying.]

I've been told they do it before it's shown, but I don't know how far in advance. [Stops recording.] Now, watch. [Plays that small snippet for him hoping background noises on her end would prove she's not repeating herself.]
