[Here is Spirit, back home at last. He's scratching his head and rifling through a pile of papers as the feed comes up -- he'd clearly just left it to boot and then went to do other things while waiting. And then he notices that the light flashing has changed, so he looks over.]
[Immediately, there is a sheepish smile.]
Hello, everyone! I'd just like to announce that there will be a fieldtrip to the outskirts of Nevada four days from now. [holds up two fingers per hand] This isn't an ordinary fieldtrip, however, because the point of the trip is to expose ourselves to Madness.
You guys are usually exposed to Madness in the middle of missions and trips, so it'll be a good idea to be able to practice tuning it out in a non-hazardous environment. Like the middle of a desert with escorts and everything. [By which he means themselves, of course] Several of you and our own people have brought up the possibility before, and now we get to do it!
[Heeeh. Details, details... Spirit is reading from a post it at this point.] Just so you know, we've picked a location with varied Madness readings for the purpose. Parts of the place will be safe...r zones, while there are some areas that will be heavy on Madness. We'll be bringing some of our own agents with Calming Wavelength for safety, and a mirror will be set up leading back to the clinic, in case that'll be needed.
Uuuh, what else... Try to have a buddy or two for the practice, so we run into less problems. It's a good time to practice resonance since that helps fight out Madness a lot -- apart from your partner, see who else works well with you for tuning it out! In emergency situations, you'll want to know these things. Meeting time is at ten in the morning, in the lobby of the academy. [Yes, up those stairs.]
