[Although some might have caught a glimpse of his signature red cloak around town here or there, Domon's face hasn't been seen on DEMISE for quite a while now. So it may come as a bit of a surprise when he finally addresses the network again.]

I don't understand this place. People making a real impact here get sent home, but even when I refuse to do anything to help it won't let me leave. [He sighs.] I guess as long as I'm here I might as well make myself useful. It would be better than sitting around all day anyway.

Problem is, I'm not the kind of guy that can find a partner that easily. I'm not even sure I should be sparring with people, because of the... "ability" that thing gave me when it brought me here. It just seems wrong to be able to feel someone's soul like that.

[He glances away from the feed. He's clearly not comfortable with the current subject, but it's something he knows he has to address.] I guess what I wanted to ask is, is there anyway a guy like me even can help? Seems like everything here is either none-combat or something they won't let you take on without a partner.

[He pauses awkwardly while he tries to figure out something else to say. After a moment though, he just gets up and turns the feed off without another word.]

That is a good skill to have. Why does it feel wrong for you?

I don't want people looking at my soul without permission. Why should I treat others any different?

You are thinking about this too literally. What people can see is a representation of your life energy, and only the most skilled can make out more specific details other than your relative strength and whether you're a meister or a weapon. Your personal feelings on the matter notwithstanding, the ability to perceive souls is highly valued here. You can always choose not to exercise it, or ask permission first if you must use it.

And I'm willing to use it against an enemy. I just don't want to be looking into the soul of everyone I spar with. I can't help fight unless I fight a partner, so right now I'm more interested in stopping it from activating when I don't want it to.

Not yet. It only happens when I'm fighting, and it seems like that's the only time it can work. I need more practice to learn how to stop using it by accident.
