001 - Text/Voice/Video (March 3rd)

This is how written message gets sent out to everyone.

[The message may have seemingly came out of nowhere, but it at least had a purpose. It's not much longer later before a young woman's voice can be heard over the network.]

When you press this button, you will broadcast an audio only message, like what I'm doing right now.

You sure we can't just stick to video? I'd rather see who I'm talking to.

Of course we can!

[And within seconds, a pair can be seen on the feed. A girl with pink hair who is waving at her device, and a young man with long dark hair.]

Good day everyone! [She bows her head to the screen, then rises back up.] My name is Estellise. My apologies for the messages showing up like this over the public network. I was simply teaching my friend here how to use the device.

[She turns to him, whispering-] Yuri, you say hello, too!

I don't want to.

[Estelle turns to him, slightly scolding, but still kind.]

Yuri! Please say he--

[Accidentally knocking the device over with her hand as she points to it, the feed ends.]

It's a fascinating world, much like the books I read had described, but it's even more wonderful to see in person! The ocean waters are so clear and pretty, oh, and the city of blossoms was so beautiful, especially when we got to see the tree bloom!

[And now she will be showing a more childish side of her, that more excited side.]

Wow. It definitely sounds like a nice place. I haven't really been outside of my hometown in my world myself. At least before coming here, but even then I don't think my world would sound as amazing as that.

I'm sure it would be if you traveled it. It's one thing to hear about your world, but to experience it is a completely different!

Yeah, that's true. I'll have to try it sometime once I get back home.

[firstaid]

You should do that. I'm sure you would enjoy your journey.

Yeah, I probably would.

... Course, going around the whole world would take a lot of money.

[firstaid]

Does it? I always thought it was rather inexpensive.

[Says the princess from a castle. Also, fighting monsters gets you money!]

Nope. The world's pretty big and travel's kinda expensive. How inexpensive is it in your world?

Well, I traveled with a guild, and I gave them my payment. Inns cost anywhere from 100 to 300 gald a night, though we can buy tents as well for cheaper. We also know how to cook in case we can't find a city nearby to eat at. However, I don't believe we've ever been shortchanged.

Oh. Camping.

Yeah, most of my world's too developed for that. It's a bit difficult to actually travel by foot and camp out if you need to.

... Also, I just realized I have no frame of reference for what Gald is, so this might be a bit more difficult to figure out than I first thought.

[She thinks over this for a second.]

Our foods at their cheapest are about 10 gald per piece. I suppose that may be a good starting point.

Hmm... what type of food would that be though. Saying 'at the cheapest' doesn't really narrow it down all that much.
