Edward? Are you listening? I realized that I didn't get a chance to properly thank you for the other night, so, here it is.
I really appreciate that you didn't abandon me when I needed you the most, like a lesser man would have done. I also like that you speak your mind, even when you disagree with me, so that I don't have to spend my time agonizing over trying to decode you, when I could be pleasantly spending that time with you, instead. Thank you for that. I'd also like to thank you for sparring with me, and for being built like you can withstand an attack from something tougher than a kitten.
[Her voice is sweet, but with a bite, and yet sincere...none of her praise is sarcastic. Still, it's pretty obvious that this is a reaction to someone else more than it is to Ed.]
I think you're a great person, and not the type to make a fool out of someone and tell them what they want to hear only to break her heart at every single opportunity, like there's a medal for backstabbing on the line. There are a lot of people in this city who pretend to love and understand you just so that you'll settle down, and I'm glad that you're not one of them, because that would make you condescending and insensitive, not to mention a liar.
