Is anyone still here..?

We'll be having a meeting tomorrow for those of us still around... I'll put more details on the Network now.

S.E.E.S. will have an open meeting tomorrow, March 12th, at the headquarters next to the arcade. We'll discuss changes to the organisation, expansion of purpose, recruitment, and getting ready for new Guests. If you want to join or if you have any business you want to discuss, please say so here and feel free to come by tomorrow.

Also note that, by executive decision, we are removing the age cap on S.E.E.S. recruitment. More information on that at the meeting.

[Hi other energetic looking person!

This will be long, so Minato will take a deep breath first.]

We still need to decide on the details as a group... but SEES is about helping others. Being taken from our homes and asked to fight in a war is difficult, but so is living in a world that needs others to fight for it. Because of this difficulty, SEES, as a group, examines these problems and find answers... then executes them to the best of our abilities. At times this will require fighting to protect others, while at others it is just about providing as much information and support for newcomers and civilians.

Sounds a little like a support group or somethin'. [ Which Duo is pretty much decidedly not in to. He's been sort of biding his time since he arrived to scope out people and places, to see what everyone's up to, but every Gundam pilot gets restless. And since there's no option to go to space with Howard and mess around at the Sweepers for a few weeks -

It's about time this pilot applied himself. ]

With the Watch being in a somewhat... disarray, are you looking into discussing more of a fighting.. stance I guess you could say? Thos guys probably need some back up, or would in the case of an attack.

[This guy keeps asking the questions with the long answers...]

SEES was protecting the city before the Watch even formed. Once, we even fought Giriko, a Weapon working for the Witches. Souji-san decided to not focus on that angle of SEES when he was leader because he didn't want to offend the Watch, but...

[Minato smiles.] I don't share his reservations. With enough interest, SEES will resume its role as protectors or fighting support. However, I am more focused on preparing SEES for conflicts outside the city... To be able to fight in the dangerous places that hide the answers...

[ He tends to play a little hardball, despite that grinning face, when he wants to know the hard answers. ]

Thanks for being to the point about it all, first off. [ He can't help but chuckle at that. To the point answers were always better than ones designed to be pleasant to the ear so far as he could tell, and he appreciated the honesty.

Hm. Maybe he could offer... ]

I'd like to work with you, if that's the stand you want to take. Back home I was a soldier that specialized in covert ops, that sort of thing. I don't know if you saw that particular... thing on the network, but... I've got a tentative partner of sorts but in the meantime I can definitely help with planning, if you need someone.

[ Oop, wait - ] My name's Duo Maxwell, by the way. I just realized I never introduced myself.

I remember you now... You're the terrorist who posted last week. [He says the word 'terrorist' in such an offhand manner that it no longer carries any weight at all. It just is.]

There's an aspect of our operations that can definitely benefit from your expertise... However, I'll have to speak with my partner regarding that. I'm not allowed to talk too much about it until then...

[So let's move on to other disclaimers.] And even if you choose to join the Watch instead, we're not an exclusive group. It's alright to be a member of both at the same time... or to interact with us as just a contractor. Since you're involved in covert operations, you should understand the value of a flexible organisation. I do want to work with you, Maxwell-san, and use your abilities to the fullest.

[ He can't help but smirk a little at that, even though he had no real plans of remaining exclusive to any one group or place. He wasn't planning on hiding it either, what with the whole honesty honor system and all. Still, he can't help but be pleased with this turn of events. ]

I wasn't really intending to stay exclusive to anyone, to be honest. But thanks for the heads up anyway.

I only mention it because it was an issue before. However, since we're all working toward the same goal, it seemed silly...

So I removed it.

War isn't the Breakfast Club, man. Everyone needs the right and privilege to move as they please.

You know, changing feelings on the subject and everything.

[He nods... solemnly. There have been a few he's already seen go down that path.]

There even needs to be places for those who can no longer bring themselves to fight. And people willing to still protect them.

Pacifism, even in this place, seems to be a defeatist policy for things.

... Doesn't mean we can't protect them though.

You're a good person, Maxwell-san. Are you sure you're a terrorist? [Shouldn't you be using a different word?]

In OZ's terms, yeah. [ He gives a little chuckle. ]

If it makes you feel better, you can call me whatever you please. Revolutionary, guerrilla fighter.. I honestly don't have a preference.

I'll just call you Maxwell, Maxwell-san. [Labels are silly anyway.]

[Okay!] I'll talk to her as soon as I can.

[ He nods and gives a little wave, breaking into one of those signature grins. ]
