She takes in a shuddery breath and when she speaks her voice is shaky, fragile]

Raidou. [She doesn't know what to say. She presses a hand to her eyes and tries to remember to breath.]

I-- Why... [She wishes she had a reason behind all this, something to blame or grasp to]

[Her fingers curl into her palm. It doesn't help, it doesn't make her feel better. There's a childish urge to just explode but-- She takes a deep breath]

[Normally she'd get up and make tea for him, get everything semi-straightened up and welcoming but she can't be bothered with it right now.

She leans back against the couch and closes her eyes, rubbing her hands over her face in an attempt to somehow wipe everything away and pull herself together.

[He knocks before coming in regardless, good manners too ingrained in him to ignore even at a time like this. He quietly steps in and hesitates at the door, once again at a loss. What should he do? What can he say to make her feel better?

He nearly asks if she's alright, but the answer to that is obvious.]
