[Demona just came back from a mission, so she is tired. But happy. Actually, very happy. And is currently at hers and Londo's apartment, surprise surprise.]

I believe you two haven't met yet, but this is a perfect time.

Barricade, I did not mention it, but there is someone who already knows my plans and has his of his own. They happen to come hand in hand. [aka, he's an ally. Yeah, sure, let's call him that.] Qilby. He is, too, interested in souls, their potential, and has no qualms with our objective.

And Qilby, I seem to have forgotten to mention Barricade to you. [more like, didn't feel like it yet. Wow, villains work so well together]

Do get acquainted with one another.  [so you two join together and go to that goddamn mission to get some souls, will you?]

About these missions, resonance or something else?

Something else. Namely, that madness wavelength. It's supposed to be bad where we're heading, so I'd like to get an idea of what I'm walking into.

To simply put, it drives you mad. While each person is affected differently and it often enhances your physical powers, [or more like, forgetting there are limits for your body, Demona figures] the madness wavelength affects your mental ability, a reason why it's not desired.

Insanity may be translated as incoherence, hallucinations, difficulty in keeping the resonance, paranoia. At a high madness level, you may become too much of a problem; like a murderous problem. They will not enjoy that. [and will probably take action, too]

[He really didn't like the sound of that - especially not the paranoia bit. Resisting insanity wasn't quite the same as weathering severe conditions or deep space. Barricade hadn't really been concerned about the whole resonance thing, but now he was thinking it might be best to try and practice with this Qilby guy before heading off. If he could transform, which was a rather embarrassing problem to have for a Cybertronian.]

No, most humans seems to have a problem with those traits. Any suggestions on not losing your head?

As simpleton as it might sound [because it's quite stupid] focus on your strengths, what gives you a mental support.

In layman's therms, think of what makes you happy and restful. [while what she was about to say was a bit private, Demona didn't hide her love for her daughter. Nor she cared if Barricade found it dumb] Mine is my daughter.

[So, think about things that don't make you crazy in order to not go crazy. That list was pretty short for him, considering everything he might have held dear in the past had gone up in flames at some point. Cybertron might count, except the Autobots sealed the planet's fate a long time ago. Demona could be soft for her daughter, so long as it didn't interfere negatively.]

Something else to work on, then. All this 'feel good' slag that's involved is enough to make me nauseous.

But you are surrounded by people who believe they need to help everyone because it's their duty. [those goddamn "heroes". Demona rolls her eyes with some annoyance]

Luckily I never had to spend too much time with those types back home. [Just a bunch of back stabbing, homicidal robots ten times his size.] So, this partner of yours - should I be meeting him too at some point?

Londo? No. He has no idea of what my plans are and I can't be sure if he'd accept them.

He is more focused on getting back.

[Barricade taps his jawline with two sharp talons.]

Hm, that really is too bad. Still, not a bad idea partnering with someone who isn't privy to your ulterior motives. Then again, I'm not a fan of liabilities.

[Good to know, good to know... next up was finding this Londo guy and finding out if she was lying. Little details meant a lot in the long run.]

Good. [He pauses a moment.] Which reminds me, if you run into another bot like me - yellow, talks through the radio - don't mistake him for my friend.

How problematic will that get?

Despite the fact that we stand on complete opposite sides of the ideology divide, shouldn't be too bad. So long as he thinks I'm staying out of trouble, he'll leave me alone.

[Except, Decepticons were always causing trouble so far as Autobots were concerned.]

Is there a risk he will tell Shibusen something? Or that he knows more than you do? [aka, came from the future]

[How would he know? It wasn't like they were on speaking terms, outside of threats of physical violence.]

Look, why don't you let me worry about him? He won't be a problem unless he thinks I've stepped out of line, and even then I know how to get him to back down.

[Besides, he may or may not have been stalking Bumblebee's partner when he got this message. The importance of research.]

You do realize if he becomes a problem to you, there is a chance he will be a problem to me.

[Demona drops the subject, though] Do as you like. Just don't drag me into it.

[She'd already called him stupid before, thanks to his network message, but he was finding he didn't care what she thought of him. She was more than welcome to underestimate him if she was going keep talking down to him like that.]

I'll ask likewise if any of your potential liabilities show their faces. Let's deal with our own problems, and ask each other for help only when it's necessary, and leave it at, huh?
