003. Video | March 16, late night
[Demona just came back from a mission, so she is tired. But happy. Actually, very happy. And is currently at hers and Londo's apartment, surprise surprise.]
I see things are about to get exciting. Good. I was starting to get bored. [Londo, get ready~]
[PRIVATE TO: QILBY AND BARRICADE]
I believe you two haven't met yet, but this is a perfect time.
Barricade, I did not mention it, but there is someone who already knows my plans and has his of his own. They happen to come hand in hand. [aka, he's an ally. Yeah, sure, let's call him that.] Qilby. He is, too, interested in souls, their potential, and has no qualms with our objective.
And Qilby, I seem to have forgotten to mention Barricade to you. [more like, didn't feel like it yet. Wow, villains work so well together]
Do get acquainted with one another. [so you two join together and go to that goddamn mission to get some souls, will you?]

Before I found my way here, I was preparing to, aah, make my move, if you will. It's safe to say that in the future, we'll no longer be as friendly. And if he's taken from that point-- [and this is part of the reason it bothers him so much] ... I won't be able to control what he does or doesn't know about me, should he return.

it's be your word against his, though. You have kept appearances so far, no one would suspect of a nice old man. And Shibusen believes in a "clean state".
no subject
Very reassuring. [his hand goes back to his face; he pinches the bridge of his nose, eyes closed, concentrating.] We'll just need to stay on track, be prepared-- that's the best... And only option.
If we really do end up working on a project for Shibusen, we'll be under far more scrutiny than before; I fear it won't be any sort of environment to get our true work done. [grimly.] We may have to find some other means of supplying ourselves, and our new addition.

[a nod] And a new place for all of it. Fast. [they had decided to go search the Nevada desert, but it's not as easy as going out for a walk]

it isn't a weakness he wants any of his dubious allies privy to, and it's best that this dangerous line of conversation is dropped.
a fake smile, one demona's seen plenty of times before.] Being comforting doesn't suit you. Just tell me I'm being an idiot about this, and be done with it. [he sighs deeply.] But-- thank you.
Anyway, I assume you don't want to miss the chance to attend these missions, so perhaps we'll simply have to wait until they're over to start looking around.
no subject
These missions are like a gift. [it's difficult being a warrior and not fight as often as you'd like] The first one is in two days. Leaving right after it could arouse suspicion, so yes, we should wait.
[oh, she remembers something] I will be contacting Death the Kid and offer my help regarding the transmitters. Perhaps he will direct me to Cross, but who knows.
no subject
Have you been going on many missions besides this? [he pulls a hurt face, like that of a kicked puppy. it's easy to tell he's in a better mood when he starts being annoying again, just for fun.] You spend all your time with your partner now. It's like you're a stranger to me!
no subject
And because Demona IS in a good mood after her battle with the Kishin, she will go along. This time]
You speak as if you are jealous, Qilby. Should I invite you over for a friendly diner so we can catch up? [a smirk, but she added] This was my second mission, and my first with Londo.
no subject
Well, you look to be in one piece, so can I assume you two work well together?
no subject
Yes, I suppose it do. [too well, actually. He can pick up her moods way too easily] It helps that he is not human.
no subject
he'd always been thin -- and as of late, positively gaunt -- but his odd, amber eyes are no less keen.] You've been letting him have the souls that you earned, though.
no subject
I have. If I refuse him that, it will be suspicious, you realize. I need to find a way to convince him of not doing it.
no subject
[and then his smile slips, and he tosses his head...] Just give him to me if you think you can't dupe him yourself. That's another thing I've had a lot of practice doing.
no subject
Is that so? I wonder how you are planning on convincing someone not to eat the one thing that makes them strong enough so they won't die in battle.
no subject
[he'd only spoken with mollari once, quite some time ago, but it was enough to get the impression that he was no warrior. there must be some other reason he was fighting -- a reason, perhaps, that was privy to demona -- but finding out just what that was didn't have a spot on his list of top priorities.
if it became a issue, then. he just had more important things to tend to. for example--] Hoping to accomplish anything else on the mission, besides working some of that pent-up violence out of your system?
no subject
I do have much pent-up violence in my system, though.
no subject
I know it.
If things go well on this mission, perhaps another friendly spar is in order-- even one with our partners, if it please you. [he couldn't sound more arrogant right now even if he tried.] I believe I owe you a defeat.
no subject
I can not wait.
