[ v i d e o ] ☠ march 19
Greetings, everyone. I know most of you who went out to help with yesterday's mission are tired and recovering from your injuries, but this mission was a success. The team was able to dismantle and bring back the Madness Emitter and it is currently under study by research teams formed by both our own Shibusen staff and a group of guests who have agreed to help.
There are two Madness Emitters left so the levels are still abnormally high. However we can already see a decrease in levels, further proving that taking down these emitters is key if we want to regain an advantage and move to a more offensive position.
Those emitters won't be going anywhere, and everyone needs time to recover—especially since the areas have been noted to be more dangerous than this one. Thus the next mission won't be until around next week.
In the meantime, however, for those interested we will be conducting training lessons to help resist the Madness. A week is obviously not going to make you invulnerable, but every bit will be to your advantage. Even those who do not plan on fighting should at least consider participating in one or two to at least understand more how the Madness affects you. A schedule of the training sessions will be posted for everyone to sign up.
More details will be provided later. For now, rest up.

And we went in quite a bit, although we didn't see any of the eggs. I guess that was just a bit too much for us, since it was our first mission and all. But we did fight some things.

I don't want anyone to push themselves too hard, especially if this was your first mission. [he knew it was actually a first for many, and he still wasn't that thrilled about it.]
What did you find?

There were some insects that grew out until they were more like monsters. A centipede, at least, but I think there were some regular animals like monsters as well. Was that because of what was going on in those caves?

Yes, that would be because of the increased amount of Madness, though I did not realize it was that strong and mutating them that much.
[or was there something else at play? if there was, that would be something that needed looking into.]

Though considering the circumstances of your weapon being affected by the Madness, then yes. I suppose it was fortunate that you did not come a cross a more dangerous opponent.

Although I have to say that would've just been my luck, running into something really bad right off the bat.

It's a possibility.
