[The video turns on and up pops an image of a blond girl who is adjusting the angel of her device. She peers into it for a moment looking slightly agitated. Finally she speaks]

I have recently come to discover that no one here takes Discover or MasterCard or Visa or any type of plastic even if it is gold, sapphire or platinum. It would have been nice if someone pointed this out to me before I got thrown out of the luxury condominiums. [Someone (read: Gai) may have pointed it out but she was ~~probably~~ not listening]

I’ve been informed that in order to stay there or anywhere where the kitchen and living room aren’t also part of the bedroom, I have to either partner with someone and move to Death City Heights or get a … job… [She gingerly touches her forehead as if she was telling someone extremely bad news like they had a terminal illness]

If the generous people of …Death City [She was still having trouble adjusting to the death theme here] would be kind enough to tell me if anyone is hiring or possibly recommend some work I might be able to do I would appreciate it.

There’s some stipulations of course, no jobs with too much physical labor, no jobs including or related to animals and no jobs that might have any unpleasant odors including but not limited to formaldehyde, gasoline and of course foul body odor.

As far a partnering goes, I’m a Weapon, a scimitar to be precise so I might be looking for a Meister, preferably one that can cook... [By now she’s slouched down in her chair and resting her chin on the desk with a miserable look on her face] I suppose that’s all for now.

Your only job there would be talking to guys to keep them company and from what I hear it pays well enough.

There's always other jobs that actually require hard work. Or you can deal with what Shibusen has been kind enough to give you for free. It's your choice.

If you like coffee, you could apply to be a barista at Deathbuck's. There is also an opening at Mortician's Touch for people who work on hair...which sounds pretty pointless in my experiences, but I shall not neglect Death City and it's...duties. Also, there is the Kuzunoha Detective Agency! I recently applied there and the man who runs the business, Mr. Edgeworth, seems to be a pretty okay fellow.

Mortician's Touch? These names really leave something to be desired. [She flips a lock of hair over her should] How can you consider a hairdresser pointless? Who else is supposed to remove split ends and give you a hot oil treatment? Anyhow, I don't really have the qualifications to cut hair. Also, I don't think just reading a lot of detective novels count for experience either...

I can do a formal tea ceremony.

Well when war is about, one does not need to concern him or herself with their hair I'm sure. That is just my take however.

And about this formal tea ceremony...could you please explain further?

I believe one should always look their best no matter what happens to be going on. Besides a really good haircut can brighten your day. I take it you haven't been to a spa before, have you. [Not really a question.]

It's a formal tea ceremony. There's drinking tea, then there's drinking tea formally. It's an art, really. I have a feeling it's not something you would appreciate judging by your past replies.

You could probably work as an assistant, but mine would need a few skills other than arranging flowers and making tea.

Well, geez, that wipes out about eighty percent of the jobs available to us here. [ Well, what else can Tenten recommend?! ] Do you go to morning training? I know there's usually an area where partnerless meisters and weapons can meet up and test resonance and stuff. You're welcome to join, if you want. It's free. It starts at every morning though, from six to nine. [ SUPER EARLY. Blame Guy-sensei for the lovely schedule! When you're on his team though, six in the morning is sleeping in. ]

So far the top jobs look like hostess or assistant.

Yes, I attend morning training. I even tried resonance once with a girl named... what was it, oh yeah, Hanabi. I'll be spending more time in that area but I thought I'd just see if I could set up a meeting time with someone by asking around on the network. [Has already had the pleasure of meeting Gai in the Kishin Chamber and is totally an early riser]

Those two jobs would suit you the best, but I'm not sure if they're the perfect fit. [ She seems sort of cold. ]

Hanabi Hyuuga? How did that go? She's a very nice and accommodating young woman. [ The name definitely piques her interest. If this was going to be part of Extended Team Guy's Team Tenten would definitely need to see just how deep the partnership runs. ] That's fair enough. Good luck meeting them.

I'm not really expecting a perfect fit at this point... [especially since the word "job" was only introduced to her vocabulary quite recently, before then it was that thing that normal poor people had to have.]

What's the Watch? Is it anything like SEES?

The Watch has people that patrol Death City to keep it safe from attacks from kishin eggs, and to support the police. But there's a few people who work in the office to organize the patrols, the pay, and files and things. I helped out there a few times when there was a lot of work to do. Normally I just patrol in the Financial and Service district.

It pays twenty dollars an hour for most positions.

Oh, I see. Well for the time being, I could look into administrative work, I don't think I'm ready for patrolling just yet. Would you need a partner for that particular type of position?

And is twenty dollars a pretty good salary?
