Hi, I'm Takuto!

So we got a lot of new people here lately, and I'd like to let everyone know that there's a drama club, and we're looking to recruit new members! We'll be meeting the day after tomorrow at 5 pm in the basement of the World's End pub.

I hope to see some new faces there! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me!

[He almost turns off the feed, and then he looks a little sheepish and he doesn't quite look at the screen as his next words come out.]

To everyone who's already in drama club, sorry we haven't had practice lately. I... had some things.

[He nods slowly. It still hurts a lot to think about any of it, though. But he puts on a bright smile anyway, even if it's just a mask for now.]

So, Kaworu, what kinds of plays do you like? I'm going to guess you're a fan of Shakespeare.

[it's redirection and he knows it, but he allows it for now. humans didn't like it when he pried too much after they'd make it obvious that they don't want to talk about it.]

I am. There is very little that I do not like, but I am particularly fond of his tragedies.

[Redirection is a thing Takuto has become quite good at.]

Tragedies? [Takuto didn't really expect that. The redhead likes comedies and adventure stories. But he could probably get behind Romeo and Juliet.] Why the tragedies?

Because the human capacity for sadness is just as beautiful as that for joy, and to be able to evoke such emotions is an art in itself. It acts as catharsis as well, which allows man a release of the feelings that might otherwise drag him down into despair.

[tauborn]

[...that was a lot of words. It sounds like the beginning to an essay or something. But he's getting the feeling that Kaworu is definitely an intellectual person.]

I guess... that makes sense. But doesn't it feel weird to say that sadness is beautiful as long as it's happening to someone else? [Because when you feel sad, it's not really all that beautiful. But he can admit that there's something beautiful about a well-done movie or play that's tragic.]

It is beautiful to experience as well. Sadness certainly does not feel pleasant, but the ability to feel such a thing at all is proof that one is alive, and without that sorrow one would not truly appreciate happiness.

[tauborn]

[He's quiet for a long moment, thinking on Kaworu's words. He's not sure he wants to agree that sadness is a requirement for understanding happiness, but at the same time... he definitely has an understanding of what happiness is, and lately--after being so sad and broken--he's had this feeling like he's craving happiness.

But maybe he's just wishing certain things had never happened to him. Still, all of it is proof that he's alive. And being alive is still a good thing.]

You might be right. [He sighs. And there is still good and evil in everyone, and that's normal.]

...You are allowed to think differently, of course. That too is part of being human.

[given his title, it would be rather hypocritical if he didn't allow people to come to their own conclusions about such things.]

[He shrugs uneasily.] I mean, I think you're probably right, but that doesn't mean I really like it.

[There's something about the way Kaworu keeps talking that makes him want to ask if he's human. But... Kaworu might think he's rude if he asks.]

[just a little rude. but he really does need to learn not to talk like this if he doesn't want it getting around too much.]

That is also part of life. It is alright to not like it.

[tauborn]

[He hesitates, and frowns a little, before finally smiling gently.]

You're very kind.

You're welcome. [He pauses, nodding to himself a little.]

I'll see you at the club meeting, then.
