[Well there's a familiar face outside a familiar kishin chamber. Guess who's back from their canon update!

Rei looks like she's certainly seen better days; she looks exhausted and her hair, which had been growing out pretty long in her stay here, has been cut short again to her old style. Her eyes are a little red from crying a little earlier, before she'd deemed herself calmed down enough to pick up her mirror.]

...It hasn't been that long for me, but here I guess it's probably different. [Her voice sounds different, strangely hollow and distant. It's been a short time, but so much has happened.]

I'm sorry if I worried people. [A pause and she picks at her nightgown] Could someone come bring me a jacket? [She's freezing, but she can barely feel it herself. Still, getting into warm clothes is a priority, especially when all you've got is a nightgown. She could really do for some shoes, too, actually.]

I just... need to rest a little while. Thank you. [The mirror turns off as she sinks to the ground, too tired to stand any longer.]

[ He just shrugged. ] Don't worry about it. We don't exactly get to choose how we're dropped off here.

Sounds like you've already been here before, though.

I've been here about half a year, before BREW decided to send me back so suddenly. [Rei rubs her arms lightly, expression amused]

I was only back home for a day or so, though. But I don't pretend to understand why BREW does the things it does.

I think we're better off not thinking about what BREW is thinking. It'll hurt our heads anyway.

To be honest I'm not sure even it knows what it's thinking most of the time...

Pleased to meet you, Yuri. My name is Rei. [And then, because she's curious and wants to change the subject] What's this I hear about a mission today?

Oh, you heard about that? They found some madness emitters on a mountain. We're going to take that down soon.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm glad for some action.

Kaede's dad and partner went on it, but I didn't hear much what it was about. That doesn't sound too dangerous, though... So they should be alright, right?

[She tries not to look too worried.] I'm sure everyone's been so cooped up in the city that any chance to get out and do some actual fighting is a good thing... [She clearly doesn't share the sentiments, though]

Yeah. They should be fine. [ ...Oh come on, don't look all worried. ]

We're all plenty strong. Besides, I don't know about everyone else, but I've had to do something similar to this mission back home. If I can take it, anyone can.

[Rei smiles lightly and shakes her head] Not everyone. Until I came here I wasn't really involved in anything like this... Not that it matters now, though. [She doesn't have a partner to go on missions with anyhow.]

Still, it sounds dangerous... You did things like this back in your world? [She tilts her head, curious to hear more]

Yeah, you could say that. I've done a lot of fighting and traveling back home. The way they described these mountains, it sounds a lot like the ice blade drifts I had to trudge through a few times.
