Kotetsu hated being reminded of the doubts and worries he'd had the first time he had ended up in Death City and had been told exactly what he was meant to do, the efforts he'd have to got through in order to help with this supposed "war", and yet over all the time Kotetsu had spent here, he had simply told himself again and again that the Kishin Eggs were nothing like human beings, even if they were the result of lost lives.

They were different, they weren't people, they were corrupted souls. Those weren't people, that was something else entirely, he never did anything wrong with fighting against them. That wasn't killing, that was... that made him nothing like Lunatic, and nothing Lunatic did was intelligent in any way.] Those things aren't people though! You-- You're not listening to me! The Kishin Eggs take lives for nothing but selfish reasons, and then they turn into... into those things! And they're nothing like people! What they do is exactly what Lunatic does! He doesn't have any right to strike down people, no matter what sort of crimes they've done! You can't just take the law into your own hands like that, it's wrong! He thinks he's saving people that way but he's not, he's just causing more pain!
