I have a few questions.

[This, ladies and gentlemen, is the kind irritability that comes up when you don't get a good night's sleep. He would have a hard enough time just trying to get asleep considering that yesterday he showed up in a place half-way across the world (as far as he knows) instantaneously without any warning and a barely comprehensible excuse. But the feeling that someone was watching him a little too intently all night sealed the deal, and now Sasha is functioning on the half-hour of sleep he managed to get right before dawn.]

Second: Why is everything around here named so morbidly?

I know America is supposed to be the land of the backward, but could you at least tone it down for the newcomers? Sudden spacial displacement is jarring enough to begin with, trust me.

Third...

[He lets out a disheartened sigh.]

I'm trying to get to the clinic to get some stitches looked at. Two sets of conflicting directions have led me to...[He looks over his shoulder, and continues flatly:] "Death City Heights". [He turns back to the communicator.] So if someone could show me there, I'd appreciate it.

[The request is followed by a long, awkward silence of staring blankly at the communicator, then finally he mutters:]

As for the first two questions... it might be easier to just sort of think of it as a theme park sort of town, only without the rides. [[He smiles at that. He's pretty sure he's the only one who actually appreciates the theme of it all, but it doesn't bug him]]

[Well, he's in the process of finding shade...]

[[Blinks once]] What, the town having a theme? It's no stranger than anything else.

I don't see the appeal of a city that feels like it's permanently stuck on Halloween.

[[Pardon him a moment as he's setting the mirror down on the counter in his kitchen so he can start packing a pair of bento boxes. Not that his hands can be seen or anything from the camera angle.]]

How can a themed town be fun when the theme is centered around death?

By making light of it so that it's not so heavy. Same as any haunted type of attraction. When it's everywhere, it's not so scary because it's always around, right? After all, it's pretty hard to take it serious when there's the name death on everything, right?

Taking death lightly is what's foolish about it.

I guess. Though really, it's better than being afraid of it, isn't it? Especially in a place where there are people who've been dead before.

Neither is a preferable stance.

Aaa-- just that some people here were brought here after they died. Or were even spirits back home given new life once they arrived.

[[He nods.]] At least one person of the group of us died that I know of... and a lot of civilians. With that whole island crashing down like that, really, it's pretty amazing it wasn't more, to be honest! A lot of people were able to get to safety before it crashed.
