[Good morning, Death City! Have an injured, unfamiliar teenager on your network this morning!]
I have a few questions.
[Gee, someone sure is to the point.]
First of all: Why do the sun and moon have faces?
[This, ladies and gentlemen, is the kind irritability that comes up when you don't get a good night's sleep. He would have a hard enough time just trying to get asleep considering that yesterday he showed up in a place half-way across the world (as far as he knows) instantaneously without any warning and a barely comprehensible excuse. But the feeling that someone was watching him a little too intently all night sealed the deal, and now Sasha is functioning on the half-hour of sleep he managed to get right before dawn.]
Second: Why is everything around here named so morbidly?
I know America is supposed to be the land of the backward, but could you at least tone it down for the newcomers? Sudden spacial displacement is jarring enough to begin with, trust me.
Third...
[He lets out a disheartened sigh.]
I'm trying to get to the clinic to get some stitches looked at. Two sets of conflicting directions have led me to...[He looks over his shoulder, and continues flatly:] "Death City Heights". [He turns back to the communicator.] So if someone could show me there, I'd appreciate it.
[The request is followed by a long, awkward silence of staring blankly at the communicator, then finally he mutters:]
Я говорю с зеркалом.
[And that's when his message ends.]

Are you Russian?

[he's always been able to speak any language. some do come easier, though, and russian is one of them, if only because of the members of SEELE that hailed from there.]
I have no preference.
Re: [video]
I am sorry that your experience has been...less than enjoyable this far. But this place is not truly bad. It is a world of second chances, and ironically enough, life.
So I've heard. At least that kind of technology is on our side this time.
[whatever "our side" is...]

It is not like that. From what I understood of their explanation, BREW is a wish-granting machine. It may be omnipotent, if that is true, but it can only grant a single wish at a time, and it is currently bringing in soldiers to help grant the wish of winning this war. So bringing back the dead may be within its power, but it can only currently do so to gather more forces.

Still, he's silent during Kaworu's explanation, taking a deep breath at the end and letting it out slowly.]
...I can't pretend that I understand the forces at work here. Any of them.

[Dude, are you like, out of this world or something.
Don't answer that]Maybe motivation will come after I get some decent sleep.
Re: [video]
Then get some rest. Those in charge here are very generous, and they will provide you with a place to live and food to eat.

[But...]
How many of us are there? How do they fund our living expenses?
There are a good number of us, enough that they have several apartment buildings set aside just for our use. But the buildings are nowhere near full and I do not have a decent estimate beyond that, so you would need to ask someone with records of such things. Shibusen, or perhaps the Watch.
I cannot say how they pay for it all, though, especially in the middle of a desert where food is not produced so easily. That is another question for Shibusen.
