...I never knew just how frightening and real this war was before now. I'm sorry I couldn't have been more useful to anyone during that tough time... and I'm sorry for those who have gotten injured and those who might have lost anyone precious to them. [He's not entirely sure if anyone has really died or anything like that but seeing how destroyed the streets were... it wouldn't surprise him if someone had.]

Please don't hesitate to ask me if you need someone to do something for you, or if you need someone to keep you company, to be there for you.

I want to help, in anyway I can.

We all have our skills and limitations, young human. There is no shame in not finding yourself a warrior here, and if you cannot fight, then search for other ways in order to help out in this war.

All that is needed is a will to do something, as it appears you have.

[He smiles softly.]

I've went most of my life needing help from others...

I just want to be the one helping, for once.

[There's a nod of his head at the reply.]

Then help them you can, but you need to decide what best way to do just that.

[He nods in return]

I can't fight at the moment, but I can at least provide others with morale support. [A pause as he looks out his window.]

...It probably couldn't hurt to clean up the streets a bit, too.

You do not need to fight to be able to aid in this war. [There's a light tone to his voice as he spoke before he nodded.] The ability to offer morale to those who fight, to any individual, is a remarkable quality, and one that should be respected.

[A chuckle passed through the communicator.] Indeed. There will be many hands needed for such an effort.

[He smiles warmly.]

I don't think I caught your name before.

My name is Tsurugi Yuuichi, it's a pleasure to meet you.

My apologies. [His voice seems to almost echo as he spoke, and his tone appeared to give off an almost grandfatherly feel to it despite the fact that he is considered young for his race.] I am Tassadar.

En Taro Adun, Tsurugi Yuuichi.

...That is an admirable thing to do. I myself am not acquainted with battle...until coming here.

[He was genuinely surprised how easy it had been after a while to pull the trigger.]

Boosting morale is just as important as fighting in a war.

I'm... physically unable to fight at the moment, otherwise I would have jumped right in to help everyone. [Well maybe not jumped right in, that's kind of careless.]

What happened? Were you injured recently?

No, not recently. It happened a few years back.. my legs were paralyzed in an accident. I've taken surgery a couple of months ago, though, so in a few more months I should be able to walk fully again.

That is good to hear that it is taken care of. If it is not too much to ask, what kind of accident was it?

[His smile softens a bit]

When I was younger, my little brother and I were playing soccer. He accidentally kicked the ball into a tree and when he climbed up it to retrieve the ball, a branch under his hand snapped and he fell. I moved underneath him so I would catch him, and the impact paralyzed me from the waist down.

I don't mind it though, because I was able to save my little brother from getting hurt. [Or hell, his brother could have gotten killed from falling at that height...]

...That is admirable. Not many people would be as selfless as that.

[It was indeed rare to have somebody get injured so gravely for another person no matter what their relation was.]

I am sure he is grateful for what you did...or at least I should hope so.

He most definitely is. [In fact he blames himself for Yuuichi getting injured and spends most of his time trying to make up for it...]

Did your brother end up being brought here as well?

[He was not even sure how that came up besides his connection with Rosalia that he did not remember having until coming here.]

Ah he was here, for a little while. He was sent back home a while ago, though.

I am...sorry to hear that. I have a girl here named Rosalia that claims to be my adoptive sister. I have amnesia, so I do not remember her.

That's terrible...

[He still was never sure how to answer that without hesitating. Nobody here knew him from before except for Rosalia according to her.]

Maybe I will remember her again at some point.

I hope so, for your sake and hers. [Man... that was probably painful for the both of them.... Yuuichi couldn't imagine what it would be like if he forgot his brother or vice-versa...]

[He still was unsure if it would be good for him to remember her. They seemed to get along well enough without him remembering their time together as family.]

In a place like this, it would likely be best to not have any such close attachments.
