[Hey, look! It's that Obito Uchiha kid! He's been hiding his face since Gai and Kakashi disappeared, save for the times he left the apartment for work, but now he is in a pickle and calling out to Death City.

He's sitting on the veranda of the condo he used to share with his old teammate and his rival. Poor kid looks pale, like he hasn't gone out in the sun in a while. At least today is bright and sunny. Along with his orange goggles he's wearing a headband with a very distinctive design that he hasn't worn in a long time.

Still not quite looking at the camera, he starts to speak.]

So... [Obito clears his throat] It turns out Fatality Condominiums is a little expensive to pay for on your own. My lease is gonna run out in a few days, too.

I guess I need a new place to stay, but... I don't really want to live alone. So, guess what I mean to say is... Anyone looking for a new roommate?

You could stay with Keroro and me.

[Their apartment was big enough given that it was meant for two adults and not a thirteen year old and a two-feet tall alien.]

[Obito is a little surprised for such a quick offer, but he's genuinely happy it's Eve and Keroro offering.]

That... sounds nice, actually. [He smiles slightly.] Sure you don't mind?

[He was a friend, and Keroro tells her that she's always supposed to help her friends.]

I don't mind. [She pauses.] But I'll have to ask Keroro, first. [Though she doesn't really expect him to say no. After all, no matter how much he complains about Da Vinci he's yet to to kick the cat to the curb.]

Ah, yeah, check with him first. I think... I'd really like to stay with you two, though.

[He chuckles.] I've met Keroro once before. He seems like an interesting roommate to have. And you're a nice person, too, so it could be fun! Living together, I mean.

I'm in the market for roommates. I'm also very interested in moving into Fatality Condominiums so there would need to be at least one more interested party.

Hmm, I already got an offer I will probably be taking. Thanks anyway, though.

The Condominiums are pretty nice. I really recommend them if you get some roommates lined up. It's a shame to be moving out, but... all this space to myself is actually a little depressing.

If that falls through let me know, I've already purchased moving boxes.

Roommates who are interested in living the life of luxury seem to be hard to come by around here.

Will do. Sounds like you wanna hurry and move up, huh? Have you sent out the word for possible roommates yet, yourself? I might have missed if you did before... [Yeah, he hasn't felt much for socializing since his previous roommates disappeared.]

That seems odd, though I guess some people might just be being practical. It's difficult to pay for a condo, and even splitting the cost could be a problem if one or more of the roommates aren't able to get jobs that stick. I'm... just a pizza boy, so I don't have enough income to hope to stay here any longer.

You're a nice person too. And you'll be living with Da Vinci too.

Yes, the free accommodations are... [we'll just let that trail off there] I'm used to something a little more spacious is all. I did ask a little over a week ago so I'll try again later.

There's that among other reasons, I'm sure. For instance, people who already knew each other before coming here seem more likely to room together than with a stranger. Then there's people who've been here for a while and have already moved in with others they've gotten to know over time.

How were you staying there before? [She'd probably know if she had been paying more attention]

You okay, kid? You're looking kinda pale.

[and it's kinda his job to be concerned.]

[He almost taken aback by that. He didn't really have much of an opinion of himself, but it was nice to hear others thought he was nice.]

Hey, thanks! Um, I don't think I know who Da Vinci-san is, though.

Ah, I can see that. I grew up in a big home, too. [More like on a Clan estate. His immediate family's home had not been huge, but the grounds were large and his home had been comfortable.]

That's true. You might actually have better luck with finding a bigger place once you get a partner. Are you a Weapon or a Meister?

[Well, it had been over a week since Gai and Kakashi disappeared, and it's not like they were friends with everyone even if Gai was relatively well-known. Obito's voice becomes a bit more somber.]

My roommates were friends from home. They were partners, and both went on missions frequently and were also part of the Watch, so between them they could afford this place even before I came to live with them. They only recently were sent home, so I've been staying on until the lease runs out for the month...

Pale? You're not very tanned yourself.

But... yeah. I haven't been out much lately. Might change that soon.

I wasn't really planning on having a more permanent partner but I'm a Weapon.

[Yeah... she met Gai once, he was pretty hard to forget.]

The Watch seems to pay pretty well, I'm glad I joined up. That sucks about your situation though.

[At the second part, Eve stands up without another word and moves to another part of the room. The camera points towards the ceiling for a moment when Eve crouches down and reaches for something.

Half a minute later, the feed rights itself and Obito will see Eve dragging what appears to be a really fat (and actually pretty ugly) cat into her lap. It didn't look very pleased.]

This is Da Vinci.

Ah... [Obito reaches up and scratches at the back of his neck.]

Some friends of mine were sent home. I just haven't had much drive to get out since then.

[A slight frown pulled at his face.] Though I do know what you mean about the sun. The one here is pretty creepy.

[Lee peers into the screen curiously. At the sight of the cat, he stops and blinks. Suddenly he's reminded he is still holding onto Itachi's bird...]

Ah, it's... a cat. I like cats. [He chuckles nervously.]

I... don't suppose there's a room he's not allowed in, though...

[Ah, the little guy shows himself. Obito grins.]

Thanks, Keroro-san! Yeah, I sure don't mind! It sounds like fun!

[And he thinks it means he'll have plenty of space, since Keroro is so small. Oh, how silly of him~]

Oh yeah? It can be hard to trust someone enough to want to partner with them permanently... [Obito had that problem himself.]

Yeah, but that's how things work out. I lucked out getting to stay in this place right off the bat, but it's only spoiled me.

Anyway, I do hope you manage to find someone else to room with you. Hey, if you make any friends in the Watch, ask them. Between two good paying jobs, you should probably be able to pool in enough cash eventually, though having a third would make it even easier.

Yeah, even if I normally liked sunlight, I think that one's face would've put me off pretty quickly. Does that happen a lot? People getting sent home, I mean.
