My name's Rebecca Holiday and I have doctorates in medicine, nanotechnology, and biochemistry. I'm also familiar with firearms, hand-to-hand combat and I'd like to think I'm great with children and pets.

I'd offer you one, but somehow I don't think working in an Arcade is something you'd be happy doing. Not with a resume like that.

Well, in that case, if you do decide you want to try it, talking to me again. We have plenty of positions open at Triple A right now. They don't pay too much though, only 8 Death Dollars an hour, but considering all our basic needs are met here without a job, it's not like it's all that bad.

So, how long have you been here?

About a month now, so not that long. What about you?

Almost half a year for me. I got here at the very end of November.

[She blinks.]

... Wow. It really feels a lot longer.

Yeah, same for me. And yet, I'm still without a job.

Well, it's not like a job for us is as necessary as it would be if we were still on our worlds. I mean, rent, food, and necessities are paid for us. Working only gets you spending money for nicer stuff and... I guess not being bored.

Well, me and my Meister got a bigger apartment and we've been paying rent. He has a job and we pay with missions, too, but I want to help out where I can, you know?

Oh!

Yeah, I can definitely see where the job thing would be a lot more important then. I've just been staying in the provided apartments. They're good enough for now, even though I just moved in with my weapon.

That's what I thought, too, but he left it as a surprise. [And she loved it so she didn't argue. Except over bedrooms.]

Wow. I don't think my partner would ever do anything like that.

Which is fine, because other than his bed mostly everything in our apartment is mine anyway.

[She laughs.] Six is one of a kind, I know that much. We had to move out for a little while anyway since we were staying in the Creeping Crypts and it was being used for refugees.

[She loves it when he does sweet things like that.]

Well, I'm glad that you two found a place you both like. Even if it's a bit more expensive to be in.

The clinic so far as I'm aware, is often in need of medics. A number of them have been returned by BREW somewhat recently..

I've been volunteering some time there, but I was wary at first of becoming full-time, since my knowledge of this place and souls is limited.

... That and I have no idea who to talk to.

I assist in running the clinic and we are always looking for able hands.

Including full-time employees? Save for missions?

We have so few people there that full-time is what we are hoping for.

That's wonderful. Would I be allowed a certain time off for missions or no?

We are more in need of assistance during the larger missions I believe, but I personally am fine with somebody wanting to go on missions.

I plan on doing so myself since I believe it is beneficial to be able to help fight in this war as well.

As soon as you wish to start then that will be fine. If I may ask, what is the extent of your medical knowledge?

[He assumed it would be extensive given that she mentioned having a doctorate in medicine.]

I am a medical doctor, for one. Due to conditions back home, I've worked often with injuries, mutations, and a few plagues. I've also had to work in psychology and neuroscience a few times, but I have no such degrees in that. I only worked in those on the basic levels out of necessity.

Also, it's important to note that I'm a Weapon and my ability seems to be healing at the cost of my own energy. It's completely imperfect, but my Meister and I have been working on it.

[This definitely sounded like the type of person they needed around here should anything go wrong. As far as he knew, he was the only one able to perform specific surgeries or be able to treat beyond simple infection.]

That sounds like a great asset though I hope we will not have to depend on you using up too much of your own energy if possible.

You sound like you are a good fit for this clinic.

I've only used my ability with my Meister, so I have no idea how it would affect anyone else, especially someone I may not resonate well with.

[She could kill them. She has no idea. Either way, Holiday's smiling.]
