[He looks a little worried, when in fact he is actually a lot worried.]

Um, has anyone heard from Yako today? Or... yesterday?

[The hallway behind him isn't his own. In fact, anyone who has been over to Yako's would know he's standing right in front of her door. He's posting this video after knocking for a desperately long time.]

...And do you gain anything by not doing anything to help her?

[Bakura isn't cleared of suspicion yet. Takuto remembers the prank he was unwittingly a part of. Then again, that had just been a prank played on Ryou and Yuugi--it was nothing so terrible as knowing Yako was imprisoned somewhere with no food or water and refusing to do anything about it.]

Let's just say that I'm not helping some of the people who are helping you. It's nothing personal.

No, that is exactly what it means when something is personal. You have your grudge against Ryou so whatever Ryou is doing you have to do the opposite. [Bakura was making him angry from the start, and this is just making it worse.]

You know, if you stopped worrying about tearing other people down, you could probably be a decent person.

Ryou? [He gives him a weird look while his voice sounds as if he's wondering what Takuto is on this time again.] Why the hell would I want to antagonize yadounushi out of all people?

Because you're always trying to make his life difficult? I don't know! Who else do you have something against?!

[He really doesn't know this other Bakura very well, now that he thinks about it. But that's not the point.]

The point is still the same, though! You're putting some kind of personal grudge in the way of looking for someone really important who could be in danger, and then trying to say it's 'nothing personal!'

[He gives him a look that clearly reads 'ugh, not this again and then shrugs his shoulders.]

Look, first off I've never particularly tried to make host's life a mess. He's perfectly capable of doing that on his own.

Second, when I say that it's nothing personal I mean that it's got nothing to do with how I feel about you or Yako. You're not really that important to me although I'd be a shame if she bites the bucket already. I'm a 'thief'. I won't help the 'guards' without any really good reason to and personal attachment doesn't count when you're just as likely to turn around and stab me in the back.

If you helped me look for Yako, I would be in your debt.

[His voice is quieter, but no less serious. He's a little offended that Bakura would think he's the kind of person to stab someone else in the back, but he'll just swallow that insult for now.]

Which means nothing with you modern day people. I helped Yuugi and in return he turned around and accused me of being a liar and not trustworthy the moment I didn't do everything for him.

The answer is the same: as long as you're cooperating with that unapologetic mass-murderer I won't lift a finger for you.

You've got a grudge against Yuugi?!

[That's rather surprising.] And my word is good. I'm not a backstabber and as far as I know I'm not friends with any mass-murderers, either.

[He makes a disgusted face.]

No! Gods, how dense can one be?! I'm not that petty as that I'd start a grudge with that guy's mere vessel!

[It seems like Bakura is talking nonsense.]

I have no idea what you're talking about, but if you can help find Yako, then I would like your help.

[He rolls his eyes and huffs.]

I'll think about it if you haven't managed to do it on your own in another two days. But in exchange both of you will cut any ties towards 'that person'. [He makes sure to put a convincing amount of disgust and hate into the last two words. After all he wants people to believe that he still cares as much about Atem as the Thief King would have.]

[He's going to find Yako as fast as he can, so maybe it will all become a moot point, but...

He's hesitant to make any promises, but on the other hand, if two days go by and he hasn't found Yako... then he'll be needing any kind of help he can get. He doesn't know who 'that person' is, and he knows he can't make any promises for Yuugi....]

We'll talk about what you can get in exchange if it comes to that point.

[That response earns him a smirk.]

Forget it! I'm already going way out of my ways by just making you this offer now, I won't hold it till you see whether it's convenient for you or not too! You make this choice now or never!

I can't promise that Yuugi will do something. So I can't accept your offer.

[And he still doesn't know who the person he's supposed to cut ties with is.]

[He laughs at that reply.]

Yuugi? Who's talking about that shrimp! I'm speaking of you and Yako! Yuugi will trust that bastard no matter what he says, he already proved that when he ignored how he was willing to kill a guy who was desperately trying to save his little brother over who of them was the better gamer! The Pharaoh can have him for all I care!

But sure, do as you please then. Just don't go and say that I was heartless and didn't give you a chance.

You should realize I can't make promises for Yako, either.

[All this talk about games and stuff is confusing, but at the very least... it seems like the Pharoah is the one Bakura has a grudge against. Still, that's neither here nor there in the search for Yako.]

That's your decision then. I like her well enough, but this is a thing about principles. I won't aid anybody who might help a person who thinks that using and killing others for their own selfish desires is good and can be justified.

I don't feel inclined to help people who try to justify using and killing others, either.

[He looks at Bakura very carefully.] Are you referring to the Pharoah?

Ask him about the massacre of Kul Elna if you ever have the time and feel like it. Or why he feels the need to hide his real name.

...Kul Elna?

[Today is just getting stranger and stranger. But finding Yako takes priority right now. He'll talk to the Pharaoh later.]

It's the name of my hometown.

[He nods. It's a promise.]

I'll remember it.

[But it's not something he can look into right now.]

Then much luck in your game of hide and seek. Let's hope for you that you'll find her before she's nothing but a pile of bones or not at all.
