[Video] In a bit of a Jam - May 12
[Beyond has had to restrain himself all the way to his assigned home. It was so hard not to go and follow that white haired moron who just couldn't bloody give him what he wanted. He's sure that L is here now, if not it's that dumb, useless Naomi Misora. Either way, he had an image to hold up and had decided this was the best way to do things. He looks quite like L, only the smallest, most subtle differences that would require the screen to be closer to see or him in front to relay other than some of the mannerisms that he wasn't able to study in full.
He's laying on his bed, arms outstretched in front of him, on his side with a bit of his cheek hidden in the pillow even if both wide eyes are staring intoyour soul the screen.]
Hello.
As it seems there is a man who both has my name and possibly the answers to who I am. After being toyed with jerked about even by one of your residents I had just met I profess a lesser tolerance for it at this time. He thought it hilarious, I'm sure, to pretend to give a damn and then walk off to leave me questioning both my sanity, my life as it was and just who I can trust around a strange place that I've no knowledge of, no more than a fledgling. I thought that perhaps it wouldn't make a difference if I asked everyone if they know who I am. I've no memories prior to the room and only that Ryuzaki is significant to me.
There must be one compassionate person within the lot of you, I trust that statistics hold out in there is always a chance of meeting someone who doesn't -- how does it go? -- get off on another's misery still applies here.
[He brings his thumb to his lip, eyes wide and unblinking into the mirror while he's seemingly trying to study it while it broadcasts him.]
Also, any information on how to use this system more efficiently would be greatly appreciated. I'd owe you one, in other words.
Thank you.
[Instead of turning off the system, Beyond lets it sit on his bed face down and no more than bare feet are seen walking out of one part of the room and into the next to see just what there was there.]

Trying to blackmail me into lying about you is really not the approach I would advise.
no subject
Just as you should know better than to threaten me.
[Then back to the oddly, somewhat more sedated and less serious manner of his truely unique self.]
I'm not blackmailing you, I'm laying down the rules of our agreement. As above. You allow me my new life, or I revert to the old one and drag down everything and everyone you've sent after me or turned against me. Including the conversations you're interrupting just now-- at least one of them. If it isn't you, then perhaps you should warn whoever it is you've already told that I value their silence and so do you.
Besides. I'd plead insanity.
[He sighs, movement sounds easily being heard because of his flip flopping on the bed, quiet enough that his sheets are the only thing heard for a moment.]
Why is it so hard to agree to my terms? Isn't a new life-- another chance --what you wanted for me anyway? I believe I heard it stated quite simply on the street one time before I broke the man's kneecaps backward.
He said it with such assurance of himself, too very arrogant, "Don't fuck with me." and I will not hmm, is it too crude a word? fuck with you.

But Bakura has already made a fair mess of things. And those that needed to be warned, foremost, have been taken care of.]
If you truly want a new life unmarred by influence of past events, I have no quarrel with you. No real reason to warn others of the fact that you are dangerous.
So see that you don't give me a reason.

I want to hear you say, you won't spread terrible rumours, nor will anyone you've already told. I'm not stupid enough to think it was one person.
I don't have to kill them, you know. If you're worried any punishment incurred is too hard. It wouldn't be your fault if you warned them and they still disobeyed you.
Should we shake hands on it?

[Before you can do it yourself.]
I don't believe it's necessary. It's a symbolic gesture to some humans but it would not affect our intentions. Our sincerity, or lack thereof, will become apparent soon enough.
[A very fancy way of saying he doesn't want to let Beyond touch him.]

I believe, even if you are abhorrent to me, now, and even through the lie you were spitting through your venom. You may really have wanted to help. I wanted to believe you, Sir.
[With a sigh that brings back the part of his mind that always floods in the many voices he's created on his own to reign one loud, obnoxious, pushy voice.]
I'm a poster child for reaching for your dreams, Sir. I'd missed our chats. Dreamed of them.
[Video] several hours later
A pale, thin hand dances over the mirror screen, deleting the photograph.
Any attempts to re-watch the video will be met with an "error; deleted from host device" message.]

What did he bring you to eat, Sir?
[Beyond's being nice enough to feed L a different meal, which is education on what he'd been told. Maybe to lord that bit over him again --maybe. More or less, he has no idea how to handle L being nice or telling the truth that he wanted to help.]
[Text//Secure]
To be honest I haven't examined the contents.
[They're sort of scattered about.]

I do work with others, but he only brings me food, to my knowledge.
[L hopes that Bakura put his foot in his mouth before revealing anything about his other successors. Otherwise, he will have to cram it all the way down the teen's esophagus.]

Maybe another time. You understand; given that the city is in rather a state of upheaval, more stringent security is necessary.
[Text//Secure]
Please, we're supposed to be starting a new life together, L. Your old method of thinking causes me concern. Even Kaworu said you should fight for people whom matter to you. Let me help, I'll help.
[Text//Secure]
Your intentions will become clear very soon. If you really feel that way, it will reveal itself.
When that happens, if our paths cross, I will not fight it, or try to keep it from being so.

Good day.
