[Video] In a bit of a Jam - May 12
[Beyond has had to restrain himself all the way to his assigned home. It was so hard not to go and follow that white haired moron who just couldn't bloody give him what he wanted. He's sure that L is here now, if not it's that dumb, useless Naomi Misora. Either way, he had an image to hold up and had decided this was the best way to do things. He looks quite like L, only the smallest, most subtle differences that would require the screen to be closer to see or him in front to relay other than some of the mannerisms that he wasn't able to study in full.
He's laying on his bed, arms outstretched in front of him, on his side with a bit of his cheek hidden in the pillow even if both wide eyes are staring intoyour soul the screen.]
Hello.
As it seems there is a man who both has my name and possibly the answers to who I am. After being toyed with jerked about even by one of your residents I had just met I profess a lesser tolerance for it at this time. He thought it hilarious, I'm sure, to pretend to give a damn and then walk off to leave me questioning both my sanity, my life as it was and just who I can trust around a strange place that I've no knowledge of, no more than a fledgling. I thought that perhaps it wouldn't make a difference if I asked everyone if they know who I am. I've no memories prior to the room and only that Ryuzaki is significant to me.
There must be one compassionate person within the lot of you, I trust that statistics hold out in there is always a chance of meeting someone who doesn't -- how does it go? -- get off on another's misery still applies here.
[He brings his thumb to his lip, eyes wide and unblinking into the mirror while he's seemingly trying to study it while it broadcasts him.]
Also, any information on how to use this system more efficiently would be greatly appreciated. I'd owe you one, in other words.
Thank you.
[Instead of turning off the system, Beyond lets it sit on his bed face down and no more than bare feet are seen walking out of one part of the room and into the next to see just what there was there.]

Because I'm not convinced he is as involved in data collection and detection as he says he is. I had wanted the option to tell him at one point or another. I do wish to know whom I'm talking with. You're not afraid to show your face to me, are you?
I have, and am awaiting his message in return.
no subject
'He' who? Are you talking of either of us in third person?
no subject
Both and neither, should I alternate between the gender roles? 'They' seems impersonal.
You're also avoiding my questions. I don't bite. [Gently at least, Beyond bites to leave marks.]

I'm an informant.
I prefer to remain as invisible as I can while using this network because it's not as secure as they want to make you believe and, like yourself, I too have already met people who were less than accommodating here. No offense, but I'm already sticking my neck out as is. Please accept my wish to remain anonymous on the network.

You've pointed me in the perfect direction, it's the least that I could do and take no offence.
I also appreciate the network information -- I hadn't realized the filters were untrustworthy. I can't say I understand them all that well yet, either.
If it's dangerous for you to communicate, do you prefer not to at this time?
[Because like hell he wouldn't enjoy someone willing to chat about others like this, he will just be careful with what he says.]

Don't mention it. [The double meaning at the beginning is intentional, as is the slightly defensively nonchalant tone of the rest of the first part of the message. Bakura wants it to look like somebody who is cautious and doesn't want to leave themselves open to attack or blame for something that'd be worth considerable repercussions.] All those things are pretty public anyway, I just helped you searching a little. That there is someone who owns and runs the network and that no system is perfect is something most people ought o be aware of but forget easily.
[He waits another two minutes before he adds] You mean, meet in person?
no subject
I give you my word. [Which to most is nothing, but to Beyond when he gives it, it means something unless your L, or Bakura
lol. This man, basically, or woman, was feeding him absolute information. Tidbits here and there. That people weren't aware of the legitimacy of their privacy being interrupted, that he was helped to search for the right thing. These all feel like the first bit of entendre mentioned and he'd at least explore that it was true to discount it later if he had to.]I would like that, once you believe you can trust me. I've no want to press you into a meeting right away and have no means of direction -- once I've settled in a little more perhaps. I do owe you a debt of gratitude for helping in a time of need. [Time of need is a little subjective, but its a word he felt he could use.]

If you want to thank me, I can always use new information and good sources. Mention 'Heavy Heart' in your posts if you want to get in contact.
[The nickname is another tease: a shared reference for him and his arch-nemesis that nobody who isn't from their particular time and culture will understand. Bakura is aware that he is tempting luck by choosing it, but as a Game Master he likes to give his opponents some small chances even if the reward for taking them is useless.]

Information is something I could be happy to give, you've done the same for me. Should I find anything interesting I will use the words given. Is there something maybe specific you're looking for, Anonymous?
no subject
Not really, past the fact that what interests me aren't the things that are obvious. I am more interested in the powerful relations between the people here, the friendships, the bond, who does not get along with who and why, special talents, pet projects and hobbies... Naturally on a level that can be indulged without crossing any borders. Just tell me when anything catches your eye, be it strange rumors or the continued unusually nice weather.
Nothing is without value. [If nothing else it will at least give him hints to better understand his 'partner'.]

Good luck settling and have a nice week, Mr. Ryuzaki.
