[the distant sound of tapping can be heard as sugata murmurs quietly to himself. looks like he's too lost in thought to realize that his fingers accidentally slipped and hit the ever sensitive button on the mirror device.]

I can safely rule out being stuck in Zero Time. I think I can also safely say that I'm not at home either... With all the secrets the island has, I'm sure this would have been found sooner or later. [after a few moments of silence soft laughter can be heard.] It seems as if I've found a way to escape the inevitable. However I need to find--

[another pause. ah, looks like whoever was speaking finally realized that he was being recorded. the blue haired boy ducks out of view just to be on the safe side. after all he doesn't know what he pressed to activate it!]

Ah, hmm... As interesting as this place seems, I find myself tied to other obligations. Is there a way to return home? I was in the middle of something very important and I need to get back as soon as possible. [he pauses once more as he gives a small sigh. Well... now that this thing is on, might as well give it a shot...]

And if anyone knows or has seen a Takuto Tsunashi or a Wako Agemaki, please let me know. Takuto has red hair and red eyes and Wako has blonde hair and brown eyes.

Yeah... there's no way to get back until BREW decides to just say "Okay, done with you" and throw you back home.

[She blinks for a moment, frowning.]

You know Takuto-kun?

I take it that there's no way you can make the BREW be "done with you"?

[he nods.] I do, he's one of my best friends back home.

None that I've been able to figure out.

But wow, it's kinda weird to see that someone else from his world finally showed up here. I mean, he's been the only one from your world here since the end of November and beginning of December.

Have you tested any of your theories?

[two minds working at getting the faq out of this place is better than one, so he's all ears in listening to what you've already thought of. however, his smile droops slowly into a frown upon hearing the second bit of information she had to say. he knew that takuto had been here, and he knew that his exuberant friend had been here for a while, but.... he wasn't expecting the months to keep being pushed back.]

Is that so? [he hums quietly to himself.] It is a little weird that they'd have me show up now.

... The only thing I can really think of is that BREW might only intend for some of us to be here for a little bit to start with, and then just sends us back. I mean, I used to think it was just originally based on how well it thinks you can help out, and then sends you back if you don't measure up, but I don't think that's it.

... Then again, neither of those would explain why it brings the same people back over and over again.

[She lets out a nervous laugh.]

But yeah, my Dad's the scientist in the family, so he'd have a better chance at figuring this out.

As for you being here, BREW's weird like that.

Wait... it brings the same people back? Do the people who are brought back remember their time here before they left, or do they start off on a completely different slate? [this is slightly concerning.]

Yeah. And the answer to your question is... both. It depends on the time the person was brought back. There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it at all.

So it really is one giant gamble. [a pause.] Do you know if they get the same power as before? Or does that change as well?

That can changed to.

The first time BREW sent my brother home, he was a Meister, then he came back as a Weapon. So not even that's consistent.

[he rubs his chin thoughtfully.]

That's rather interesting to know. So it's just as random as people coming back with or without memories of this place intact.

Yep. And of course some of us don't get sent back home at all. At least that's what it seems so far. Both Takuto-kun and I have been here constantly since we showed up.

And how long have you been here for?

Since about the very end of Novemeber. Same as him, actually.

I see. You two probably know a lot about this place then. I hope you don't mind me asking you questions every now and then.

I don't mind that at all. Answering questions was one of the things I used to do here all the time before BREW started... not letting us know ahead of time when you'd all be getting here.

Anyway, My name's Chika Daimon. What's yours?

Yeah, it really was. Of course, back then we got like... tons of people at once. So it was definitely nice to know they were coming.

[he quirks a brow.] I wonder why people aren't coming in as much as they were in the past....

The only think I can think of is that BREW thinks we don't need as much help.

[Even if it seemed like they still needed all the help they could get.]

How many people are here? [he furrows his brows in thought.]

Honestly, I'm not sure about the exact numbers, but there's at least over a hundred of us who were brought here who are still here.

... Doesn't really seem like much when you consider that there's a war going on though, does it?

It's a lot when you don't think about the war, but no, I agree. Though it also depends on how heavy the war really is. [he tilts his head a little in thought as he looks to the side for a moment.] But speaking of this war, has anyone on this side died? [it's.... only natural that death happens during wartime, but so far no one has really mentioned or brought it up yet.]

[Chika stiffens a bit when she hears that question, but well, it's not like she can't answer him, right?]

Yeah... a few of us have.

Ah, I see. [he lowers his gaze momentarily.] I hope it wasn't anyone you personally knew.
