[ The chatter of people all around comes through first, Re-l’s pale face focused and frowning as she shifts through crowds, occasionally murmuring an ‘excuse me’ and at others just shoving her way through. She waits until she’s in a break in the crowd, a quiet spot in the street, before sighing, finally facing her communicator.

She doesn’t seem sure of how to word what she’s thinking, pausing for a moment. ]

I can’t find Vincent. He was supposed to be patrolling Outer Residential Quarter one during the riots and I haven’t been able to contact or find him since… [ Almost paranoid that he’d appear out of no where now she looks up again, watching the people go by, shoulders sagging as she comes up empty again. ]

If anyone sees him, I would appreciate it if someone would let him know I’m looking for him –

[ Her head jerks up, for a moment, catching a flash of orange jumpsuit, communicator forgotten in a flash of orange and a flurry of movement. Neither of them think about the fact she’s talking to her communicator, and the next discernable image is of her pale face pressed against Vincent’s chest, his fingers threading through her hair.

There’s a pretty clear smear of make-up down the front of his clothes.. but neither of them seem to notice, for a moment.

And just this once, she’ll be willing to concede the moment to Death City, cracking a blue eye open to murmur. ]

Nevermind, I’ve found him. However, please let us know if anyone is in need of assistance in the area in the next few hours. My apartment isn’t in bad shape, so I would rather spend the type helping those who’ve lost more….

It only took him hours. [ Re-l rolls her eyes, but the slight smile on her face indicates she isn't as irritated as she might be trying to give off. ]

He did. [ And, for the moment, that was good enough. She'd bitch at him later, for taking so long to contact or speak to her. ]

We aren't, so far as I can tell. I don't think our apartment was so lucky, though..

[ there's nothing but relief etched all over Vincent's face at the moment, finally reunited with her and knowing that she was safe. he pulls back slightly to watch as she finishes her message to the network, speaking once he's sure she's no longer recording. ]

I'll be pissed at you later - right now I'm just glad you're here.. [ And yes, for a moment she's just going to lean in against his chest, acquainting herself with the fact that he's still there, and he's completely okay. She's completely okay too, so they made it out of this pretty well other than their apartment. ]

How was your patrol?

[ he gives a sheepish laugh at that, but says nothing in response. his fingers weave their way back into her hair as he tightens his hold on her. ]

Chaotic... I don't know how many times I was clobbered when I tried stopping some of the rioters I ran into.

[ he sighs, and wonders briefly how bruised he'll be later on, but shakes the thoughts away before continuing. ] How about you?

[ Re-l takes a moment's pause, as he comments on being 'clobbered', nails digging in to the fabric of his jumpsuit for a moment. There's an inexplicable swell of anger at that - both at the fact that the rioters had gotten their hands on him and that he'd allowed something like that. She'd seen him battle what was basically himself with such prowess - how the hell could he not do the same to some rioters in the street?

But within seconds she releases her hold again, realizing she'll probably get some excuses and that it isn't worth it. ]

.... They run the other direction pretty quickly when you knick them in the ear with a bullet. We'll check you over back at the apartment... hopefully it hasn't burned up..
