Luck is just not on my side with these guys.

[Cupid is examining a smoke-covered wall beneath a broken window in her apartment, expression set into a frown that she's trying very hard to keep from becoming a pout. She gives her mirror a strained smile and settles a hand on her hip with a sigh.]

I hate to see it, but I don't think the show is that great an idea this week, all things considered. Maybe next week, huh? That said, please remember that my private inbox is always open just in case.

[She pauses a second, then smiles wryly, running her fingers through her bangs idly.]

Also- um... Joshua, wasn't it? I guess they were paying more attention than we thought, huh?

[A sigh and she turns her attention to the rest of her apartment.]

If anyone needs me, I'm pretty sure I'm not going anywhere for a while.

[She pauses to sit back on her heels and stare at the mark on the wall thoughtfully.]

I mean, I was the only one here for a while before Ghoulia, but then I know some people who arrived with a bunch from t heir homes.

Just a few... they've been here for a while before I arrived. So it's just you and Ghoulia from your world?

Yeah- honestly, while it'd be nice to see the ghouls, I... don't think a war is the best place for them.

[Well, except maybe Cleo and Abbey. Abbey was just naturally tough and Cleo...? Well. Cleo was Egyptian royalty, and they didn't make royal families quite like that anymore.]
