Second Song | Video | June 6, Late Afternoon

[Today, Karina looks nicely dressed up in a simple black dress and a few baubles on one wrist. She's in what seems to be a rehearsal room of some sort with a standard piano beside her.]

I told a few of you over at Morning Training that Dorsia hired me as a musician for them, but... actually, tonight is going to be my first performance. It's really funny. I'm really used to being in the limelight and everything, since it's what I did for a living back home, too. But I still can't help but feel a little nervous. I guess it's just that feeling of performing in front of a new crowd.

Anyway, here is a little taste of what I'll be playing tonight. I wrote it myself. I hope you like it, and you come see me perform more at Dorsia tonight.

[And with a smile, putting on her best air as a performer, she begins to play her song.]

What is this Dorsia place?

Thank you. [She feels really proud of herself! It's a new person, too!]

Dorsia's a fine dining restaurant in the Financial District. It's owned by a local, but it's really open to Death City's guests.

Fine dining? So formal dress and classical music? [ As much as Re-l appreciated the differences between Death City and Romdeau, it was the little things that reminded her of her home that sometimes soothed the ills of the place. And after all the rioting and... displeasing occurrences of the past few weeks.. ]

Yes, exactly that.

[And because of that, Karina feels exceptionally proud of her workplace. Back home, she had always played in bars where there were often drunkards. It felt nice to play for a refined audience, and it flattered her immensely that Dorsia accepted her.]

Hm. I'll have to talk to Vincent about that.. [ If by 'talk' she meant boss around - then yes, they would probably show up at Dorsia within the week for one reason or another that she could possibly make up. It would happen - it was just a matter of when. ]

I'll be looking forward to seeing you at my show. I perform every evening during dinner, from seven to nine.

Ah, and before I forget, I'm Karina Lyle. And you are...?

Good - late dinners have always been better, to me.

More than likely, yes. It might take some convincing to get him to a formal place, but that's saying he has much of a choice.
