[Karkat has never thought he had a flattering face, but it's particularly ugly when he's worried, because he looks about two times his age. And he's worried alright, because a certain housemate has been missing for far too long for comfort.] Has anyone seen John? John Egbert. He's human, and he wears stupid glasses and has stupid messed up human dentition. Actually, wait, hold on, I drew a picture. A lot of you probably know him; he's the obnoxiously friendly type. Anyway, he hasn't come back to the hive in a while, and it's not like him to just disappear like that. Well, okay, it is, but not for this long. He would have finished setting up a prank by now. If anyone's seen him, let me know, because I'm going to run around the whole fucking city looking for him, and that's going to be a pain in the nook. If anyone wants to help look, that would be cool, just look for a guy running around that looks like my drawing.

Also, does anyone know how to take care of a hopbeast? ...Humans call them bunnies. It's John's, and I have no idea how the fuck to take care of it. I've just been feeding it carrots, and making sure it's still breathing. John's going to murder me if I kill this thing while he's gone.

[As promised, she's sitting there, watching people going in and out. She perks up when Karkat approaches and stares at the shirt. She nods because that will do just fine.]

[Placing her nose against it, she takes several inhales and blinks. This shirt wasn't recently worn. Still, besides that, the scent itself is light and airy. Fresh rain maybe? Growing up in an often wet land does leave its mark. It's enough and she finally pulls her head away, sniffing. Hm, there's something off, but she's not going to say anything yet till they reach the strongest point.]

(OOC: Ah, I see. At best, she would take Karkat to the last place he was before canon update poof.)

Sweet. Okay, lead the way then. _{[He's clearly anxious to start moving. He can't seem to just stand still, shifting from foot to foot.]}

Okay, that's what I figured you were saying, but it never hurts to check. _{[He wastes no time transforming. Can't blame you. Since you have his shirt, that means his stuff is still here. If I can't find him, it's possible he's been temporarily sent home.

That can happen, that's right! How long do they usually stay, uh, home, before they come back? And if his stuff's here, does that mean he's guaranteed to remember this place?

It varies. Sometimes a day, other times a week or two. I've never heard of someone being gone longer than a month without being permanently gone.

[She has to think about the next part] I haven't heard of people forgetting when they disappear for short periods of time.

Well, that's good, I guess. At least he'll remember that place. It seems like re-educating someone that's been here before would be really fucking irritating.

It would be a task... Anyway, his scent has been light every since I smelled his shirt. He hasn't been around for a while.

Not recently, no. His partner's been injured, so John's been really cautious about making sure Dave doesn't push himself.
