[sugata was used to living a normal quiet life, so dealing with slow days was alright. but this was getting ridiculous. he wanted to do things! but he couldn't really do a lot due to an unfortunate circumstance. and if he had to watch one more death-themed cooking show he was going to blow. this cabin fever was going to be the death of him.]

What do you all do to pass the time here? Other than working or going on missions. [as much as he'd like to help, he can't really go out on any rescue missions right now.]

That would be excellent. Would you want me to meet up with you at the park, or are you nearby?

I can meet you halfway! If you'd like. [She giggles.]

[he nods.] I'll see you later.

[--click. and with that he heads off towards the meeting place they both agreed to. iiii hope that is ok. because what am figuring out places on the map!! it shouldn't be too hard to miss him tho, what with the sling he has on and stuff.]

[She actually finds him very easily, because despite saying she'd meet him halfway, she was actually pretty nearby, so she manages to catch him before he even gets halfway. Her initial instinct to hug him cuts short at the sight of the sling.]

...Sugata-kun!! What happened to you??

Oh this? [he pauses as he looks down at his arm.] It's just a sprain. Nothing too serious, don't worry.

[She lets out a breath of relief and then proceeds with her hugging of him, though a lot more gently than she normally would hug someone.]

You shouldn't get yourself hurt, Sugata-kun! You have to be more careful.

[he can't help but let out a little chuckle. if only it could be that easy. he brings his good arm up and gives her a soft squeeze.]

I'll be more careful the next time. [anyway-] How have you been?

[Working her way to Sugata's good side, Mizuno grabs his hand so she can lead him by it towards the park, yep.]

Um... I've been good! Really good! [She's not a good liar. But she's trying, anyway!]

[he senses the little white lie, but he won't pester her about it. she was kind enough to not question his sprained arm.]

Well that's good. Have you been keeping yourself busy with missions?

Oh, that's...

[See, she can't lie about this one, so she just looks a little dejected.]

I don't really have a weapon yet... so I can't really do missions...

[he looks down at her curiously.] You don't have to have an official weapon to go on a mission. There are loads of people who are trying to get their feet wet, so I'm sure there will be plenty who'd want to go with you.

That's...

[She scratches her chin, trying to find the right way to say this.]

I'm not really skilled with weapons at all yet, though. And I wouldn't want anyone to get hurt because I'm not good enough... y'know?

[ohhh. that he can understand!!] I see. If you want I can try and help you at morning training? I know it might seem hard at first, but I know you can do it. [you are a maiden after all!]

[Looking up at him, she grins gratefully, hugging his arm tight in the process.]

I would really, really like that Sugata-kun! I mean...

[Determined look!]

I know I can do it too! But that doesn't mean... it's not easier with help...

[he smiles down at her and nods.] Of course. It'd be my pleasure Mizuno.

[She looks absolutely giddy at his words. But then she's distracted by their arrival at the park.]

...Look, look! Look how pretty it is, Sugata-kun!!

[oh now that is breathtaking!]

I wonder how they keep it in such nice conditions. [do that many people really live here? that's a lot compared to the tiny island they live on back home.]

I've seen lots of people around at different times of the day! I think maybe a lot of the guests really like the park, so they keep it up.

[Nodnod.]

That's good. I would hate to see this go to waste... [speaking of... he is rather curious!!] Have you found a job here yet, Mizuno?

[And now Mizuno looks super excited as she nods vigorously.]

Yes! I work with Chika-chan at the arcade! I get to talk to people, it's really nice.

The arcade, huh? I'll have to visit one day. But I'm glad. It sounds like fun.
