[sugata was used to living a normal quiet life, so dealing with slow days was alright. but this was getting ridiculous. he wanted to do things! but he couldn't really do a lot due to an unfortunate circumstance. and if he had to watch one more death-themed cooking show he was going to blow. this cabin fever was going to be the death of him.]

What do you all do to pass the time here? Other than working or going on missions. [as much as he'd like to help, he can't really go out on any rescue missions right now.]

Not much at all, other than that things...didn't go so well. He seemed kind of quiet, so I was hoping to get an explanation before I came over.

We went on a mission a couple of days ago, but it didn't turn out so well. We... failed it.

He hasn't exactly been up front about a couple of things with me. [aka sai might've gotten in his head a little.] I understand that there will be some things that are going to be difficult for him to talk about. And I respect that, but... I'm not exactly someone he just met five minutes ago.

{She hesitates, obviously searching for a kind way to say what she wants to.}

You're definitely not some new acquaintance, but...Shindou-kun, he hadn't seen you in over half a year before BREW brought you in. Takuto is...it's impossible not to change, at least a little, after going through what he has. Some of it is even harder to talk to people about because he's close to them.

And I understand that. But you also have to understand how tiring it can be to hear everything that's been done to him and the other things that he's done from someone else. I'm not even worried about the big picture right now, I know he'll come talk to me when he's good and ready. But, it's the smaller things that make me feel inadequate as a friend. [he pauses.] I will always have his back, regardless. Unless he's in the wrong. But I can't defend him if he doesn't let me in on the full story.

Defend him...?

{She's...not sure if there's anything that has happened to make people attack Takuto recently.

My friends mean a lot to me, and I won't stand by idly when someone tries to hurt them. I might have not been there from the start, but I know he put a lot into the relationship he has with you. What he has with you means a lot to him. It's apparent by the way he looks at you and how devoted he was in wanting to save you from the hostile natives. And as his friend it is my duty to make sure that that happiness remains intact. If I can, at least.

It's something that would have caused trouble sooner or later. I'd...rather hear these sorts of things sooner.

I'm the same way too, actually. Especially if it's bad news.
