[The apartment in the background doesn’t look like the usual free apartments in Casualty Communal. Those who are familiar with it may recognize it as the interior of one of the Death City Heights apartments.]

Hey. I just wanted to thank everyone who offered to try resonating with me before and to say that I’ve found a partner now.

For those who want to know, I’m partnered with Takasugi Shinsuke and I’ve moved in with him at Death City Heights.

[Aqua smiled faintly at the communicator. Things had been difficult for a while, and they probably would be again at some point, but for now, things were looking up and she intended to make the best of it. Though her smile falters a little, because she was really a lot less certain about what she needs to say next. But when she keeps speaking, her voice doesn’t waver and to the unobservant, her unease isn’t apparent at all.]

It also looks like I might be becoming your second Zone Leader for the Outer Quarter soon. For those of you I haven’t met yet, my name is Aqua and I look forward to working with all of you to help keep the city safe.

[There's a moment there where his tone almost seems to be laced with a genuine interest.]

That's right.

[Appearing juuust over Aqua's shoulder.]

Takasugi Shinsuke. You are?

[He'd not expected to see anyone to interrupt his conversation but if Takatsugi's presence comes as a surprise, it doesn't snow. Mitsunari remains steeled, speaking in that firm way he often did.]

Ishida Mitsunari... An ally to your Meister.

[An ally? She's not sure if that's how she would ave put it...then again she wasn't even sure how to define this at all.

She gives a brief smile to Takasugi before turning back towards the communicator.]

So how have you been? [Because she hasn't spoken to you in a while.]

[Ally tended to be the catch-all term for Mitsunari - anyone he felt worthy of his companionship, anyone he felt some faint bond of trust towards. Aqua fit well into this mental category.

He nods at her question and cranes his neck a bit, glancing away from the screen.]

I have received confirmation that my Lord Hideyoshi has vanished from this world, though I have held my suspicions for some time. More allies from the West have found themselves within the confines of this city, it has served to ease my loss, as has occupying myself and focusing on Shibusen's relief efforts after the earth chose to quake and tremble beneath our feet.

[He will refrain from mentioning the incident wherein a vending machine nearly crushed his head.]

[Takasugi nodded at Mitsunari's response, satisfied. He was curious about abilities, but he decided to keep quiet, listening in on his girlfriend's conversation with the new guy instead.]

I'm sorry for your loss. [She knew, after all, how much that person means to Mitsunari.] Still, I'm glad to hear that you're doing well and that you weren't hurt during the earthquake.

[She wouldn't know how to react to that, anyway.]

[Takatsugi is remaining quiet and staying out of the discussion, Mitsunari will tolerate his presence.]

I shall endure. [Though, he does cast a glance in Aqua's partner's direction] And trust that you yourself have been doing well.

I have. It was a bit rough for a while but things are better now. [A lot better, even.]

I am relieved to hear it.

Take proper care of your blade... [Another glance at Takatsugi, something of a warning to the man] And I trust he shall care for you.

[She noticed the look, of course, and would have been exasperated if she didn't realize this was probably just the way Mistunari showed he cared.]

Of course. [She has absolute faith in her partner, after all.]
