Jan 22nd [After earthquake]

[The video flickers on to a dusty, scraped and rather frustrated looking Elena.]

I could use some help.

[The camera shifts and shows her leg, which is pinned beneath a large piece of rock. It looks like there might be room past the rock and her leg seems to be in a dip, but it is clearly pinned.]

I'm stuck, at the moment, and with these after shocks I don't want a rock this size landing else where on me too. I'm out in the outer quarter, the section only marked with the lab in it.

Shit, that's a huge rock. I'll be there real quick! [And he begins to dash off-- no problem, Elena, he's a really fast sprinter despite his constant smoking.] What's closest to ya, miss?

I'm near what looks like a grave yard. And my name is Elena.

'kay then, Elena. I'll be there soon!

[And true enough, she'll probably notice some really tall blond dude running around-- and looking a bit cranky judging from his lack of nicotine. He spots the rock and goes over to her.]

Hey-- yer Elena, yeah?

[He's studying the rock, trying to figure out what's the best way to pry it away.]

[She looks up at him from where she is pinned, giving him a thankful nod.]

Yes, I am. Can I ask who my rescuer is?

[She says the last part almost dryly, trying not to be too rueful about being the 'damsel in distress'.

Leon Orcot. I'm with the Watch.

[And he replies curtly, like the good cop he is. Now that he's studied the rock well enough, he'll get to work on getting it off the lady! And he does so with just a little grunt. He's pretty damn strong for his frame.]

There we go!

[The moment her leg is unpinned she is quick to get out of the spot, moving a bit further away to avoid any possible fall out from moving the rock as well.]

[He says as a grunt before dropping the rock back. He shakes his arms as it falls back into place.] Damn. Been a while since I've lifted somethin' like that.

[She got to her feet after a moment, hissing slightly when her weight was fully on the leg that had been trapped. Nothing was broken, but she had probably strained or pulled something when she had initially struggled to get free.]

You don't seem any less capable for not having done so lately.

[She gave him a smile, being as courteous and generous as her Turk training allowed her to be.]

Heh. All in a day's work.

[He scratches his head a bit sheepishly. It's been a while since a girl ever complimented him.]

You okay?

Mostly, yes.

[She walks carefully, a slight limp showing.]

Just a bit sore, I think I will head to the clinic, just to be sure that there isn't damage I don't know about.

Hey, your leg--

[He moves ahead of her to stop her from moving further.]

You want a lift or somethin'? All I can offer is a piggyback ride, but it'll help so you don't strain your leg more. The clinic's still kinda far off.

[She blinks at him once. She is a little offended by his offer, she is a Turk, not some silly little girl that needs help over just a sore leg. But then again... he didn't say she couldn't do it on her own, just offered some help. And she would be dumb to let herself get hurt more over her pride... time to suck that ego in a bit girl.]

I wouldn't want to keep you from helping others... but I won't object to some help getting there.

Alright then. [He crouches in front of her, offering his broad back.]

Hop right on.

[She blushes slightly, but moves closer and sets her knees at either side of his waist. Her hands gripped firmly on his shoulders.]

Thank you.

No problem.

[Alley-oop! Up Elena goes!]

Let's go!

[And he rushes her to the nearest clinic!]

Thank you for the lift.

S'no problem, Elena. I hope you get better soon.

Thanks.

[She blushed slightly at that, unused to being treated that kindly since she was the rookie back home.]

I gotta dash. Still gotta help lotsa others out. Catch you later!

[He beams at her before running off!]

Bye.

[She waves after him for a moment before turning and limping in to get her leg looked at.]

[He groans]

Fuck. Need me to try an' get you outta there?

One guy has already said he's on his way. I don't know if any help will be needed.

[She sounds a little grumpy, but is doing her best to be polite. She is not enjoying ending up in this position and needing help.]

If your sure. Injuries?

Yeah, I'm sure. I don't think my leg is any more then bruised and pinned, I haven't noticed any other injuries just yet.

Get whoever's helping you to take you to the clinic anyway.

That's my area.

[Have one 16-year-old kid in a military-esque uniform. It looks like something somebody from Wutai might wear.]

Hold on. I'll come around.

[She nods a thanks, not one to judge someone on age.]

Alright, there is another guy who is already headed this way.

Who? Is he with the Watch?

Um, I don't know yet, I planned on asking his name when he got here.

All right. Keep me posted, will you? [A beat.] Shinsuke Takasugi, by the way. You are?

I will. Thank you. I'm Elena, pleasure to meet you Shinsuke.

[Short time skip to after being freed.]

Shinsuke, I'm contacting you to let you know I've been helped by Leon, who is also a part of the watch.
