[Lloyd is standing in the park. There's an object just to his left but just the top is visible right now. He's once again a bit cranky, but at least there's a good reason this time.]

[Suddenly he snaps his head toward the object, and as he does so the picture shifts so it shows what he's now directly glaring at. It's a horrible, diabolical...

...water fountain.]

HEY! You're really starting to piss me off, you know that? What's your problem?!

[Following one hell of a day which nearly involved getting killed by a trashcan, Kratos is wandering around the park to calm his mind. The voices had lessened in intensity and were far more tolerable in comparison to even an hour earlier, but still continued to be a nuisance. A little more and his sanit--

Wait. Is that Lloyd... shouting at a water fountain? Even the voices shut up momentarily while Kratos stops and stares. After a moment, he approaches with a somewhat uncertain expression.]

...Lloyd, what are you doing?

[Yep, Lloyd is still glaring and occasionally shouting at the small structure. He looks at Kratos when he speaks to him.]

I'm trying to get this stupid thing to listen so it stops acting funny!

[flamberge]

[Please tell him he'd heard wrong. No one could possibly be that stupid.]

...You're trying to tell a water fountain to stop acting funny?

[boredallready]

[They could, but that's beside the point right now.]

Duh. It's pretty obvious.

[flamberge]

A voice comments on the fact no one would miss one single idiot. Really.]

You realize that a water fountain is an inanimate object and therefore incapable of exhibiting any sort of behavior?

I know! That's what makes this so weird! For some reason it's up to something.

[flamberge]

[Worst comes to worst, he can drag Lloyd to the clinic. His sanity had returned to the point he could manage as much.]

And just what, pray tell, is it up to exactly?

I'm trying to figure that out! Whatever it is, it's not good.

[flamberge]

[A sigh.]

It appears whatever is happening has affected your common sense. [Whatever he had to begin with, anyway.] Come on, I'll escort you to the clinic.

That's not...!

[Hold on, something wasn't adding up here.]

Wait, you can feel it too, right?

[flamberge]

[He crossed his arms over his chest. Lloyd feeling weird things. Definitely not a good sign.]

No, I can't say that I do.

[ Uhhh what. This is important, he's not letting this go!]

Seriously? But it's like something is about to attack at any second!

[flamberge]

[Something about to attack? Okay, he's taking this a bit more seriously now. Kratos studies Lloyd's face for a moment. Is this apart of the madness going on or does he really feel that?]

...You're certain you feel something?

[Oh NOW he starts acting like he thinks he's less crazy...]

Definitely. I've been in enough fights with people and monsters to know it.

[flamberge]

[Sorry, it's been a crazy day. At least he believed him eventually? Hmmm he's thinking for a couple seconds.]

I'll transform into a weapon for a moment. Doing so should permit me to feel what you're feeling.

Oh yeah, that should prove it! But I still don't know why you can't feel it now...

[flamberge]

We will worry about that later.

[That's about all the warning Lloyd gets before Kratos changes into a sword.]

Uh, right.

[And he picks up the sword that was once Kratos and waits for the telltale blue wings to tell him they're resonating. Once he's sure of that he inches closer to the offending water fountain.]

[flamberge]

[The closer they get, the more he feels something. He couldn't place the feeling exactly, but it definitely is unsettling, no, perhaps malicious fit better. Is the fountain really the source of it, though?]

...I feel it.

[boredallready]

[Oh yeah, he knew he was right!]

See?! I don't know why it's happening but it's been getting stronger all day til I got here.

[flamberge]

[For once.]

When precisely did this feeling begin?

[boredallready]

Um... I think I started to notice it a little last night actually.

[flamberge]

[Hmmm a strange feeling of this sort since last night and then madness today... Definitely a possible correlation between the two.]

You've never felt anything of this sort before?

[boredallready]

[Lloyd's trying to remember. Then again he should remember feeling something like this in the past, right?]

No. But I'm still sure it's not good!

[flamberge]

[Kratos remains quiet for a minute. A bad feeling which he'd never before felt and then all this madness following shortly thereafter. There had to be a link between the two. Why from a water fountain, though?

Unless... it's not the fountain itself, but the water... Infecting the water system. Something most everyone drinks. A brilliant tactic.]
