22nd January | Video - Immediately following the earthquake
[ The video feed flickers on to that same face, more grumpy than usual, poking at an open and still bleeding scratch on the high point of Hiei's cheek bone. The smaller demon looks a little disgruntled, a little sleepy, despite the fact that his arm and face are clearly scratched and scraped as if he's fallen and bleeding.
He doesn't seem to pay it much mind other than persistently wiping away the blood that attempts to run down his face, not so secretly sticking that same finger in his mouth as if everyone here cleans themselves up the demon way. ]
What the hell is going on in this place? I try to take a nap in a tree and wake up in time to barely save my head from the walking path. [ The camera angle changes, moving away from the small demon and panning over to a large crack that has formed in the park's shifting Earth, not too far away from Hiei's feet or where he landed. ]
It appears the city may have a new gorge forming shortly, unless I am mistaken.
[ And then, almost grudging. ] Where is the closest clinic?
Filtered to Kurama:
Where are you?
[action]
Your point? I'll be fine in a few minutes - why do you feel the need to treat me like a child?
[action]
[action]
That's not the point, Kurama, and you know it. [ He's still growling and grumbling, even as he accepts assistance. Typical. ]
[action]
[action]
Well stop. [ It's snapped before he realizes that doesn't really make sense, but his sense of pride is hurt right now, damn it. ] It will be fine soon enough too.
[action]
[action]
[ He growls, obviously irritated. ] I don't need you to think about my condition. I'm fine.
[action]
[action]
Shut up. [ At least they reach the apartment shortly, and Hiei determinedly takes the stairs as if he isn't walking like a drunk at the moment, though he is admittedly a bit pleased when they finally reach the apartment. ]
Finally. Now I can sleep this off.
[action]
[action]
What the hell do you mean, it could be bad? [ Now he's just pissed off. Hiei and his sleep cannot be separated! ]
Just let me sleep, Kurama, this isn't even amusing.
Re: [action]
If you've damaged a certain part of your brain, you could fall into a coma if you were to fall asleep now. Just until our regular bedtime, I won't keep you all night. [Kurama, it's like. 11am. Hiei is not going to appreciate this.]
[action]
That's in 12 hours! [ Damn right he's not going to appreciate it - in fact he's quite pissed off even if it's making him woozy to have his blood pressure so high. He takes a heavy seat on the couch, glaring flatly at his partner. ]
Human bodies are completely worthless. How could you choose to have one?
[action]
[Kurama turns away, moving to the kitchen.]
[action]
That option might not have been so bad. [ Only to you would it have been the better option, Hiei. ]
[action]
[action]
[ He seems to debate tossing the cup away, but his thirst wins out as he petulantly takes a drink, pulling away abruptly to catch a bead of blood before it rolled off his arm and onto the couch. Remarkably Hiei's pulled sense of pain seems to still be in effect, here, as he sucks the blood off his finger. ]
[action]
Kurama chastises himself silently for not realizing that, of course it would be different. For all intents and purposes, Hiei was human now. He gets up, moving to the bathroom. If a different 'Kurama' lived here before, then perhaps he left a first aid kit where he (now) could find it easily.]
[action]
Apparently. [ It's a dry statement, as he turns his arm to watch it sluggishly bleed. It was at least moving toward clotting, even though his arm was still streaked with dried trails of blood. The youko should find at least a small form of a medical kit in the bathroom vanity area - though Hiei has probably forgotten it even exists. ]
[action]
Antiseptic comes first.]
Hold still. This might sting. [Don't punch him this time.]
[action]
[ Kurama and this damn first aid kit, it was always a source of foul smelling, stinging antiseptics. But he sits and waits anyway, a sour look on his face, holding still. He knows what's coming so it won't be too much of a surprise.
No promises on the no punching, though. ]
