[ The feed begins with Natsu slamming his fist into the wall -- the plaster cracking and crumbling beneath it. Hell. It probably provides a view into Lucy's apartment now. But he doesn't seem to care, dislodging his fist and keeping his gaze away from the mirror. ]

All of these people, taken right under our noses -- and there wasn't a goddamn thing we could do to stop it. [ His words are calm but dangerous, and after narrowing his eyes on something unseen, he finally casts a glance at the communicator. ]

I need a weapon. I'm going to rescue her -- rescue ALL of 'em! And if a weapon's the only goddamn way to unlock your fighting potential in this world, I need one for this mission 'cause I ain't sittin' back and lettin' anything happen again! I'm used to usin' fire, but I don't give a shit what kinda weapon you are. We'll work it out in the training area before we leave. If we got the same resolve, 'm sure we can overcome everything -- even resonance.

[ He pauses, lingering in silence. A look of determination slowly takes place on his features when he speaks again. ]

That BREW thing made me a meister for a reason, and even though I'd wanted to be a weapon from the start -- I'll step up and embrace what I am here, what you guys made me, and fight with everything I got to keep those important people safe. That's the kind of thing you can expect of a mage from Fairy Tail!

Erza. [ The anger breaks from his face and becomes a knowing grin. ]

Heh. I figured you would. There's no chance of 'em winning this time with us on the job!

Of course - I can't allow this sort of thing continue. So who was kidnapped? [She knows it's not Lucy - she would have heard about that already, if that was the case.]

Kid. She's the god of this place. [ .....which is a Natsu misunderstanding, but anyway! ]

I was with her when those bastards took her. Swore I'd get her out, and yet -- tch. I should've been able to do something! It pisses me off!

[And, since Erza doesn't know any better...] Really? In that case, we'll have to get her back as soon as possible.

You'll be able to make up for it this time around. These creatures won't be able to stand up to the power of a Fairy Tail mage!

Erza....

[ pause. ]

Partner with me for it. If it's the two of us, I know we'll definitely get her back.

Sounds like a plan. ...Though I will have to train you in how to use a sword - swinging me around randomly isn't going to work.

I bet I could use a sword just fine!

[ No. He couldn't. He'd probably use Erza like a baseball bat. ]

[Oh, she's fully expecting that.] Well, I don't know what would happen if you break me when I'm a sword, and I don't want to find that out first-hand. [Maybe she can find a stick or a pipe for him to practice with first...]

There's no way you'd break, Erza! No matter what! I bet you're the toughest weapon around!

[She chuckles - he's probably right about that (in her mind, at least), but it's better to be safe than sorry.] That may be, but some training wouldn't hurt. I'm not used to fighting like this, after all.

Yeah, me neither. Haven't even worked with a weapon and only held one once.

[ But.....training with Erza. There's this sinking feeling in his gut at the thought because it'll probably be worse than the actual fight tomorrow! ]

Wanna head to the training field if it ain't too badly destroyed?

[Oh, it'll be much worse. But at least this time, she won't be trying to cram months of training into less than a week!]

Sure - I'm in my room as well, so we can head over there together. [Don't think she didn't see you punch a hole in that wall, Natsu.]

[ ....pain. He can already see the oncoming pain. ]

Heh! Sounds like a plan! Hope you're ready to master these new powers, Erza!

I'm more than ready. [And, less than a minute later, she's knocking on Natsu's door.]

....that's what I'm afraid of.

[ he mumbles this to himself and in a matter of moments, he hears the knock. Natsu squares his shoulders and heads to the door, yanking it open. ]

Yo! Let's get going.

Sure - we don't have a lot of time, so we'll need to make the most of it. [In other words, she's not going to take it easy on him. Not that he expected anything else, I'm sure.]

.....there's somethin' forebodin' about those words, Erza.

[ He mutters more to himself than anything. But considering his options are train until he dies or get killed by Lucy for putting a hole in her wall, he doesn't have much of a choice. ]

You're right, though. There ain't a whole lotta time. And if we can help figure out my meister ability while we're at it, then we'll be even better off. Been tryin' to unlock it, and after I talked to Quirky [ he means Qilby ] I came to the thought that maybe I can only use it with a weapon. It's worth giving a shot.

That would certainly be useful. Any edge would be welcomed - if they can kidnap a god, these foes of ours are bound to be powerful. [Even if she's not a... oh, never mind.] But regardless of what they can do, we'll find a way to overcome them!

((OoC: Want to skip to them arriving at the training field, or should they talk for a bit longer?))

You bet! Heh, I'm all fired up!

[ And it doesn't take too long before they arrive at the slightly-damaged field. At least most of the targets and training dummies are destroyed and debris litters the field itself from the battle, but it's still plenty of space. ]

Okay...so sword. You just use it like this, right? [ He puts one closed fist over the other, and makes a downward swing -- looking more like he's using a hammer. ]

And s'long as you smack the enemy on the head with it, you're good, yeah?

That's... [She sighs. This is going to be a long day.] If you're dealing with something small, maybe - with a person, you'd be better off aiming for their chest. And swing it diagonally - if you only swing downwards, then your enemy will always know where to block. [To demonstrate, she acts as though she's holding a sword and swings her arm at about chest level.]

So...unpredictable, huh? Got it!

[ Natsu goes over to wrench out a practice sword that's surprisingly not splintered or broken from the battle damage. He moves over to the remains of a dummy and goes into a series of attacks -- from chopping like an axe to swinging like a baseball bat to twirling like a baton. He turns to Erza -- hopeful that his AWESOME TECHNIQUES have impressed her. ]

Somethin' like that should do it, right?
