[ The feed begins with Natsu slamming his fist into the wall -- the plaster cracking and crumbling beneath it. Hell. It probably provides a view into Lucy's apartment now. But he doesn't seem to care, dislodging his fist and keeping his gaze away from the mirror. ]

All of these people, taken right under our noses -- and there wasn't a goddamn thing we could do to stop it. [ His words are calm but dangerous, and after narrowing his eyes on something unseen, he finally casts a glance at the communicator. ]

I need a weapon. I'm going to rescue her -- rescue ALL of 'em! And if a weapon's the only goddamn way to unlock your fighting potential in this world, I need one for this mission 'cause I ain't sittin' back and lettin' anything happen again! I'm used to usin' fire, but I don't give a shit what kinda weapon you are. We'll work it out in the training area before we leave. If we got the same resolve, 'm sure we can overcome everything -- even resonance.

[ He pauses, lingering in silence. A look of determination slowly takes place on his features when he speaks again. ]

That BREW thing made me a meister for a reason, and even though I'd wanted to be a weapon from the start -- I'll step up and embrace what I am here, what you guys made me, and fight with everything I got to keep those important people safe. That's the kind of thing you can expect of a mage from Fairy Tail!

They did nearly take someone I know... he managed to escape though, it seems. But I do should check in on him to make sure he didn't get caught again. I made him promise he wouldn't but... that only goes so far really.

Check on him and let me know. If he's there, I'll make an extra trip to get him out just for you!

[She paused, before tilting her head.]

You had a friend taken though, right? That's why you're going. I hope you get her back safe and sound.

Yeah.

[ Natsu furrows his brows. ]

She's the god of this place -- Kid. [ He really believes this, too. ]

[... blink.]

Don't you mean 'he'? There's Death the Kid - you know, the guy in charge? His dad was the Death God before the whole incident that meant we all started to get dragged here, so that makes him a Death God too.

But he hasn't been kidnapped.

[ Looks at Minako like she's crazy. ]

No. Preeeeeetty sure Kid's a she. I mean, I didn't think guys had....

[ he holds his hands out in front of his chest in some unspoken demonstration of breasts. ]

...ya know?

[She gives him an unimpressed stare.]

Yes, I know. But we're made aware of most of the important people from Death City and Shibusen, and the only Kid here who's a god of sorts is male.

Then who's the blond? She said she was the God here. You sure the other guy ain't lyin'?

No, he's not lying. I've been here a while now, and he's always been here. I've never met a blond girl called Kid though... is she a new arrival?

.....well, I only met her recently. But I mean, that don't mean nothin'. She could've been flying somewhere. You know. Like gods do or whatever.

[ His words become mumbled by the end because he doesn't know how to tell a god from a regular person, so his arguments are pretty weak. ]

... Maybe, but I think if she was well known we would have been told about her.

[There's a pause, before she continues.]

The main point though is that you want to save her, right? I don't think whether she is or isn't a god has any effect on that.

[ Okay. Back to serious mode. ]

I'm gonna save her. There ain't any question about it. As soon as I get my hands on a weapon, that is. Just wish there were some fire types around here.

"Gonna", then. Point is, you'll save her.

[She frowns a little thoughtfully.]

I can't say I know a whole lot about weapons in the area right now. With people coming and going, and the fact I haven't been looking for one myself means I'm a little out of touch. Still, you've asked the network so I'm sure something will show up.

[ That sucks. He's still convinced there are mainly meisters around! ]

How long've you been here and lookin' for a weapon?

I've been here... maybe four, five months now? I haven't been keeping a close count. As for looking for a weapon... maybe a week? I've not been looking hard though.

That long, huh? S'been a while for ya then. Didja have a partner at all during that time?

I guess it has. It feels like it's gone fairly quickly though...

[She shakes her head.]

No, I haven't. I'm all right just keeping an eye on things in the city, I think. I do enough fighting at home. But, if things are gonna keep getting more and more dangerous here then I should probably start looking more seriously.

I think the thing about it is, when it gets more dangerous -- people're gonna come together. It's just what happens in a tight-knit guild. 'cause there're things well worth protectin' and people'll realize we gotta unite to take out the enemy.

Just wish it was easier for us -- knowing just who we gotta beat for the war to end. We know witches, yeah. But there's gotta be one behind it all. The leader just like Shibusen's got a leader.

Yeah, but it's a case of finding that leader I think. Or rather, maybe they know who they're looking for but they're hiding. [She tilts her head.]

I think it's probably a little more difficult than just finding them and killing them. But... it does always seems like we just react to what they do. Maybe we need to step out and take the fight to them first, for once.

That's right! Build up a defensive team to stay back and defend this place and then have an offensive team to take it head on. No one's gonna get any closer to going home if we just sit back and only protect ourselves!

A lot of people seem to want to go on the offensive though. Have you ever seen how many of the Watch get sent on these missions? I guess people prefer being active and taking the fight to the Witches than staying home.

[SEES isn't a trained police unit like the Watch, after all. They can help, but fighting and defence isn't their speciality.]

I don't think there's been a big mission like this since I got here so I can't say I noticed. But if BREW's givin' us different powers and abilities, there's gotta be some that'd make better defense than offense, right?

Most likely. I'm sure Shibusen has things in mind but... it'd be nice to see some more active efforts, I guess.

Then let's plan it and take charge ourselves, ah, err -- what was your name again?

[Minako chuckles slightly.]

Although someone might have beaten you to the punch on that. I'm pretty sure Minato is working on something a little more proactive. It might be an idea to get involved.
