[Courtney is not entirely comfortable asking this in such a public manner, but seeing everyone work to recover, she knows she has to speak up.]

Uh, hello? I don't know anything about first aid, and I'm not that strong, but I can still carry stuff. How can I help out?

Oh, and I can turn into a sword. I doubt that's much help, but maybe tools are needed, too.

If you're planning on heading out, you should probably ask someone to go with you. [Says the boy who sulked about having to be accompanied by an adult everywhere he went because of the quakes.]

I can handle myself. Besides, I'll be around people if I'm helping out.

I'm not saying you can't. But... some of the people injured are people who "can handle" themselves, too.

And that's why they need as many healthy people as they can get to help.

It's also why they don't need any more people injured along the way. It's best to take precautions.

That's why I'm asking where I'm needed instead of just rushing out there.

[A sigh.]

You can walk as slowly and carefully as you want, but if one of the old buildings decide to suddenly crumble on you... Well... [There's a rustle as he shrugs.] It's your choice. Be careful anyway, I guess.

If you can't find any suitable employment, I think there may be some work or two that I need done in the clinic.

Sure. What can I do?

We have a number of patients here that need to be fed; would you be fine with traveling from the kitchen to the rest of the clinic to distribute food, water, and some supplies as needed?

Yeah, I can do that. I'll be right over.

Excellent. Might I know your name?

I'm Courtney Crumrin. Are you a doctor? Do you work with Derek Stiles?

It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Crumrin. I'm John Watson, and yes, I am both a doctor and work with Derek Stiles. [friendly smile]

Great. I'm on my way.

[She's looking forward to seeing Derek again. And this Watson guy seems pretty nice, too.]

[Watson nods with a smile.] I shall see you, Miss Kimishima. [And then he has to hang up, because patients.]

[Despite her enthusiasm, Courtney is a little nervous as she enters the clinic. She looks around for Watson, trying to stay out of the way until she knows where she's needed.]

[And here's the man himself walking out of a far door left ajar. From the background noise and smell, it's evidently some sort of kitchenette. He pauses as he sees her, and his expression breaks into a smile.]

Miss Crumrin, I'm glad to see you've arrived without harm.

[ooc: lmao I am sorry, I copy pasted the wrong tag into your window. /was at work. I suppose that one above works, if we pretend the name is different.]

[She approaches him and smiles back.]

It's a mess out there, but it wasn't too hard to find a way. Where do you need me?

[OOC: Yeah, I figured it was something like that. No need to change it.]

The aftershocks are a pest, eh? [grins, and shakes her hand.]

As for what you need to do... well, all the patients still awake should be hungry by now. It's rather late in the afternoon. There are snacks and meals in the kitchen, but no one has seen fit to distribute them. Do you think you could manage that? I shall help you for a moment.

Sure, I can do that.

[She walks to the kitchen to take a peek at the meals and snacks, wondering whether certain ones go to certain people.]

Er, do any of them have food allergies? Or do any of them only eat kosher food?

[She isn't entirely sure what is and isn't kosher...]

[He blinks for a moment, and frowns in thought.]

I've never considered it. [Since he's from a time when no one's too sensitive.] The allergies are written down on their files, of course; these are at the foot of their beds. But as for Kosher... I have no idea. [blinks again]

[It must not be a big deal, then, she decides.]

Alright, I'll make sure to check their files.

[nods, and smiles, and leads the way to the kitchenette. It's a small room with a stove on one end, a fridge, a sink, and a microwave that he still doesn't know how to use. There are some cabinets, shelves full of utensils, and the like. There's a countertop full of wrapped sandwiches and a pot merrily bubbled with soup. A water dispenser surrounded by mugs is in a corner.]

It's a bit cramped, but it does get the work done.

[Courtney thinks it's a nice kitchen. Only, there's one problem...]

Do you have a stool or something?

[moves his hold on the cane so that the hook part is free, and tugs at a step stool from in a cabinet under the counter.] Will this suffice?

[She smiles again, deciding she definitely likes Dr. Watson.]

That's perfect.

[The Doc definitely likes you!]

[He smiles and takes a hold of a plastic basket, and starts putting the wrapped sandwiches in there.] Shall we make the first round, then?

Sure.

[She steps onto the stool, then grabs a bucket and starts filling it with sandwiches, too.]
